The Cobalt dream machine.

It's been a long day in the A2 today.Left home at 10.20 this morning via Hereford Audi to pick up some bits eventually arriving in Aberdare South Wales to pick up a bonnet from A2Steve at about 5.30pm.The satnav sent me here where i took a few picks in the Brecon Beacons.Oliver enjoyed chasing the sheep Lol.Thanks for the bonnet Steve, good to meet you. The return leg this time back down the A470 and M4 only took 2hrs 15 mins a vast improvement, the car still returned 44.6 mpgs pushing it. All along private roads of course.Lol.The A2 devoured all traffic on the M4 without breaking a sweat! All in all a good day had with the dream machine and Oliver.

Great pictures of the A2 Mark, a nice read and a lovely backdrop. Sounds like an ideal day to me; a lovely long drive in the A2 (in great weather), a picturesque location with 'driving roads' and meeting an A2 enthusiast and fellow member to collect a new part for your car. The stuff of dreams.

Thanks Darren, you couldn't have said it better mate! :)

Took the car for an mot Monday and it passed with flying colours but struggled with the emissions, i could see the trouble he was having and thought the worst to be honest mostly being on the fail but momentarily he managed to get all 3 green panels up. So i thought.......... right let's give it a Terraclean. Just got back from having it done. I'm gobsmacked, the car drove well before as you've probably read but as everyone else moans i had to concede the 1.4 petrol feels very flat pulling of or on low revs. Not any more.................the cars eager now and you have to lift of the accelerator otherwise it's an incessant leap forward in the next gear which is totally different to how it drove before. No more gutless feeling low down in the rev range or pulling of, she just wants to fly now. To say i'm pleased is an understatement! She feels like she did when new i would imagine, she just pulls really well in any gear very eager now and you can see why so few 1.6 FSI cars were sold when the 1.4 felt like this one now does.I've just filled her up and will monitor what she does on a tank.I'm expecting it to be better. Jeez if this feels this good what does a perfect running 1.6 FSI feel like? What an awesome little car this is, we absolutely love it........even more so now..:)

Just to recap, she's running new Audi coils, new NGK Audi spark plugs, changed early November last year and now a Terraclean.

Good to read Mark; sounds like your car has experienced a big leap forward. I'll have a read of what's involved in due course and consider if it is something I may consider and if there are any risks or cons to the process. Either way, I'm pleased that your A2 has responded so positively. Enjoy the newly released horses.

Cheers,

Darren

Cheers Darren,as i was writing this, i was thinking of you and what a difference it would make to yours. No more hesitancy flat spot or anything like that and as you've driven mine a couple months ago or so, you would be able to tell the difference.Must get together soon. :)
