Thanks for the detailed instructions Paul, perfectly clear to follow!
I'm trying to obtain one at the moment, its attaches with 8 torx screws which I think will be the same on the A2, just need to drill holes in the tunnel plastics to suitFollowing on from this is the TT gear surround a straightforward fit, would someone like to tell me how they have done theirs?
The loom which came with the TT wheel was perfect for the install in the A2. I never tried the A2 loom to the TT AirbagWhile I am sure Depronman is correct , I had to change the airbag / horn loom when I swapped from the 4 spoke to sport 3 spoke steering wheel. Perhaps something to check, hopefully I was unlucky and needed to get a new loom and you may be OK.
A change from a four spoke SE A2 wheel to a sports wheel does require a different small loom. They can be bought for around £20 from an Audi dealer parts dept.

(well actually yesterday) I fitted a 'new to me' TT steering wheel and airbag, it is in mint condition from ebay at £30 delivered.
I thought I preferred the four spoke wheel until I recently drove an A2 with the three spoke wheel, the extra shape around the 9 and 3 o'clock positions fit my hands
perfectly, so it was a 3 spoke sports wheel for me, and I always liked the look of the TT wheel with its chunky aluminium ring. I would like to find the TT gear stick surround to mate with the TT steering wheel - anyone got one kicking around that they are willing to part with. I've got the sports knob so only need the lower ring that the gator fits into
Cheers,
Paul
Yesterday actually, my sons little A2 passed its MOT with one advisory - one worn droplink. We were going to replace the whole front suspension anyway, so that's not a big deal. Not bad for a 2003 1.4i with 123k miles. Many 'other' cars would not be so easy to get through an MOT at that age.
Had my MOT today too. 2001 1.4 petrol 153K miles. Passed again.I have a 2001 1.4L Petrol with 228330miles, just advisory about the plastic interior missing bits.
Took my A2 to my garage for the NOX sensor to be replaced and caught them red handed with this ?. At least they offered to replace the cracked sills with new ones. Same happened with my previous A2. I mean, really...
Goes without saying....new sills arriving next week.Tut!! It's not like the correct jacking location is that difficult to see when the car's on the ground. I hope you take them up on their offer.
fitted a spare set of mudflaps I had put away to my newly acquired TDI probably going to my only mod to the car, they make such a different to the look of the car.... they come into great use with the weather on the way home

Not much easier to see on the PC either! I can just about make them out though.LOL - On my phone I can't actually see the mudflaps on that photo
Are you sure you don't fancy a nice set of black leather Sports seats to go in there Nat?... probably going to my only mod to the car....
