Now let me have a drive!Today has been a good day for the A2
She passed the MOT this morning with no advisories. Not bad for a 15 year old car with 161k.
Then this afternoon I fitted a mapped ECU with very pleasant results
Now let me have a drive!

Makes me want to get my car remapped now ?First proper drive today since having the map on. What a difference!! Having owned/driven lots of TDI 75’s with a remap, I would say that the standard TDI 90 drives very similar to a remapped 75 as standard in terms of the amount of acceleration. It does however feel very different in the way it delivers it. The 90 is far smoother and linear in the way it delivers power through the rev range. In other words, more like a modern car.
The remap has only improved on this; in normal driving (I’m heavy footed) I didn’t experience any turbo lag (as you do on the 75). Combined with my newly fitted DMF making the clutch very light, the car is shaping up to be a real pleasure to drive.
In comparison with the way my old TDI150 used to drive, it hasn’t quite got the same in-gear acceleration that pushed you backwards, but I’m certainly not hungry for more pace (at the moment).

Na, clutch will go on a LOT further than that, DMF may not, but the clutch no issue at all. Took one out at 272K miles and still lots of meat left on the spinner plate (LUK as original fitment by Audi)Only worry at mo is clutch. 132k on original, Would deffo get this changed before any remap.
Mine is on nearly 230k and still on original clutch and had mine remapped ....not 100% sure without checking but probably around the 190k maybe slightly less I had my car remapped!Na, clutch will go on a LOT further than that, DMF may not, but the clutch no issue at all. They suit A2 interior wellGreat day today and great progress made. @Jellybean popped over and we swapped the platinum sports seats into his car and a set of TT 16 inch alloys.
In return I got a set of aftermarket 17 inch alloys that really suit the colouring of my car and these beauties

To say I’m over the moon would be an understatement. Thanks again Bob ???
3 fairly simple brackets and a spacer, plus 2 clearance holes for screws.I take it the S3 seats need to be adjusted to fit?
