My winter rims (ACE Dino, see attached pic) pick up massive amounts of dirt, snow and ice to the extent of sometimes coming way out of balance. Because of the five spoke design, they are easy to clean though. In some cases I need to stop and remove snow and ice which have stuck to the rims to prevent the car from shaking to bits.
People with pepperpots, what are your experiences
in the field of how much dirt they pick up and how easy they are to clean especially regarding the inside of the rim surface?
I would imagine that the design of the pepperpots might be useful to prevent picking up dirt and snow in the first place, but on the other hand, if I would need to clean the inside of the rims on an open road, that would be an absolute nightmare.
Thank you. I'm now considering pepperpots for the next set of winter tires since they seem fairly easy to get. My ACE Dino rims don't seem to be made for winter use since they have suffered from corrosion pretty badly. Any corrosion on your pepperpots yet?
