A2 owners in Hungary?

Just arrived home after a long day out with the car. I went 200km to Budapest and back. I had the cruise controller installed by the guys Norbert recommended. They did a really professional job and they seemed very nice. I will definitely go there again for my electrical work. And I can recommend them to anyone who is around Budapest. In the end they charged me 30.000 HUF (£83) for the parts and installation. The extra 10.000 HUF from the original 20.000HUF was because I wanted the original stalk. They could have installed a aftermarket stalk for 20.000HUF. And they were nice enough to do a full VCDS scan without charging for it. But it was all green, no fault codes. The way back was a excellent opportunity to try the cruise controller. It worked like a charm and it was really nice to have one. Will be great for summer when Im gone do my road trip. When I got home i was met with a nice surprise, my heated side mirrors has arrived. :)

I want to thank Norbert for recommending them and it was real nice to meet you. It was really nice to see such a well taken care of A2. Hopefully we meet again.

I find myself in Hungary often. Do any of the guys down there have the capability to do GRA activation on the 1.2tdi fro cruise control?
I have been considering a road trip from Norway to Hungary for the cambelt change when it is needed. I guess this should be cheaper in Hungary.

That would be a nice trip! In February I'm going to drive from Budapest to Oulu, Finland, but it will be a one-way trip only!
In Hungary there is a guy who is considered to be the 1.2TDI specialist for Lupo and A2
www.audi-service.hu

They have changed my cambelt in 2010, it was 75k HUF including genuine parts plus labour.

Ennio,
I work for a Bp subsidiary so I know all about it plus most of the Jobs went from Hemel hempsted to Haller Gardens Offices In Budapest,Have been to Budapest many times and once this year.

The Huf is good if travelling just now at 360huf to the Quid, I usually drink in the kaledonia one street back from the octagon if you know the area.

What a small world. I was in the Kaledonia last October (getting my teeth fixed at Hungarian Dentist - another example of rip off Britain - UK quote £15k - Budapest £5k!) - great selection of whisky:). Didn't realise that A2 parts and service great value there. Going back in April, think I will take advantage - could always pick up for others

Dental tourism is quite remarkable in Hungary, especially near the west border, in Győr and in Sopron, there are a lot of Austrian and German guests in that towns. It seems that A2 tourism is going to be started soon... :)

It was really nice to meet you, I wish you a lot of great trips with that nice car!
