A2OC driving day?

Hi Steve, I would be up for either of those dates and either distance, the only spanner possibly is my house move date which is at the moment undecided, apart from that I'm in!

Great stuff Jeff. I've changed it to say the last weekend in August as it gives us three days to choose from. I've added your name to the list but let me know if you need to change that.
 
Could I ask that one of the mods changes the title of this thread to say 'A2OC driving day Brecon Beacons august bank holiday' please?
 
Hi Steve I think a new thread is best and then link this thread to it. I'm happy to place it in the calendar so people can add their names etc. but will need to do it tonight as it's awkward on a phone. Cheers Mike

Thanks Mike. I'll leave it as it is at the moment until I get some feedback about the preferred date i.e sat, sun or monday and then perhaps start a new thread for people to confirm attendance on. Is that ok? I'm very conscious that I am treading on your toes a bit?
 
Sadly we are away for the BH weekend. Make sure there's loads of pictures guys!

Well only Jeff and I have confirmed as yet so you may not be missing anything as yet. The date isn't set in stone yet either so you never know. Would have been good to have you there but enjoy your weekend.

Thats quite a few people now in the same position. Would it be better for others if it was sometime mid September? That way it would be spaced better between AITP and ADI??

Unfortunately the whole of September is out for us, but hopefully others will like mid-Sept,
 
September better for me, though not 6th or 12th and 12/13 is Heritage Open Weekend. 19/20 is free for me. I know it's difficult to accommodate everyone, so I suggest you just pick a September date and a minimum number to make it worthwhile.
 
We've a lot on in September. Wedding with wifey the organising bridesmaid. Parents visiting. Yes excuses excuses. It's unlikely I can make this. Would have loved it. Another time.
 
You've got a real task here steve. Maybe you could get one of those voting posts set up with possible dates. Like the one for most common name or paint peel?
 
This is getting hard work lol

I tell you what I'll start a poll in a new thread asking what dates people would prefer and then go with the majority.

Hi all

Thank you to everyone who has shown an interest in this social so far.

I have been chatting to Mike and Yvonne and there are quite a few things I am unsure about with organising this social i.e legal implications, etiquette on the run etc.

As a result we have come to the decision that it would be far better to postpone this event until spring next year. This will give everyone more time to make their arrangements for accommodation etc

This social WILL happen it's just a matter of when :)

Please keep your eyes on the social section and details will follow.
