Audi Driver International 2012

I’m still hopeful to be on the stand with my A2, but I’ve not got it back from the bodyshop yet.
I’m due to call them at 10am for an update, and if they’re still on-track I expect to be collecting the car sometime between 12 & 3pm.
I was hoping to leave home around 12 for a slow drive down, but it now looks like I’ll not be at the hotel until late afternoon or early evening.

Obviously there is still a chance I may end up attending in the Abarth, but hopefully this is a very slim chance.

See you all there.

Jeff

Good morning everyone.

The club stand is now pretty much full and it looks like we're in for a great day out, if the weather holds.

As in previous years, we'll be meeting up at the coack park on Dunns Lane (SN14 7HU) at 8.30am:

http://carparkmaps.co.uk/carparks/view/18448

Please be prompt, as we'll be moving off, in convoy at 8.55am to the circuit, where Riverlad will already be, setting up the club stand in advance.

If you can't make it for 8.30am, then please let me know via PM in advance (as Colin has already done). I will then PM you my mobile number and will meet you on the circuit gate to give you your club stand pass.

So, all that remains is for me to wish everyone that is coming a safe journey. See you all tomorrow!

Hi all! Just got home from the day. Sorry I had to leave early. Really enjoyed it and it was good to put a few faces to the names on here! Thanks to all who organised the day for us, appreciate it.....

Great weekend, thanks everyone.

It was great seeing all of you there yesterday, thanks for a great day.
The list of things I want doing to my A2 has now grown ever more.

Thank you everyone for a great weekend. It's all of you who come along that make it great.
The weather was not to bad only a little rain. Its always great to see new faces and new.

The gala dinner was great fun with great company. The food was lovely as well. I can still taste that beef:)

And well done to everyone as we won silver award for club communication.

It would be great to meet you wooly at the cury social, the place we are hopefully going to is fab and dose the best curry around.

Cheers

David

Was a great alround trip just short of 1k miles. Bit of a smash on the M1 nice new red TT written off and another car on its roof. Apart from that cruise on set at 75 smooth journey home.

It was worth the journey and great to put some faces to the names, a really nice bunch with some great cars. Only problem I came away with too many ideas and man flu.

Happy Daze all

A great day as always, and many thanks to everyone who organised it :)

For once I avoided any sort of mishap (whether keys-locked-into-car, or reversing over the nearest sign), and I put that down to Riverlad's foresight in protecting my car! :)

I've had a lousy couple of days since the weekend, so haven't posted my thanks on ADI yet.

But,

Thanks to everyone who came and helped to make the A2 club stand the amazing show that it was - I'm well aware that some of you have travelled very long distances to be there and it's really appreciated.

Thanks also to our social secretaries, Riverlad and A2sumo, without you guys, there'd be no catering tent and a distinct lack of atmosphere on the stand. Thanks to CraigyB for the use of his sticky gaffa to lash our banners up and give us the presence needed to show A2OC off to the paddock.

Thanks also to Ben, MikeMars and Riverlad for their excellent company at the gala awards, which brings me on to my final thanks - a big thank you to everyone who voted and got A2OC the Silver Award, which Sumo now has.

Roll on the next social, which I hope will include an appearance from someone who's been away from things for a while - WoolyA2 (great to see you, Mandy and the girls on Sunday).

Sorry to not be there in my A2, but my knee just wasn't up to the journey I'm afraid.
