So come along and have a great day. It's not to late to come along and buy your ticket at the gate.

Hi all

Can I just say a big thankyou for making me feel so welcome at my first A2 meet. Rich is worried about some of the ideas i've picked up today and has already hidden his wallet... hahaha! :)

Hi all,

Another great day had at AITP. A big thanks should go to Calvin for a fantastic job organising the event (so many great cars turned up…..and the weather was perfect), and obviously to Mike and David for organising the A2OC pitch and everything that goes along with ensuring all A2OC members had a great time.

It was really nice meeting old mates and new faces. I hope the re-coding for anti-hijack works for all those who I did this for……and milothecat, I have found my instructions to re-match your key fobs, so I’ll drop you a PM.

Also I’d like to say a big thanks to Craig, who provided me with a professional job supplying and fitting a genuine Audi Bluetooth telephony kit with full SDS functionality.

I (and Glyn) missed Maddy, and hope you’re well, and hope we’ll see you very soon.

So……Another great social……roll on the next.

Cheers

Jeff

It was great to meet up with everyone again, and also to meet new people :)

I suspect my mishap with my car keys might end up in club folklore... ;)

WOW what a great day--boy oh boy my legs ache now. Thanks to all the old and new members that made the effort in coming today. Without you we don't have a social scene. Thanks to David for the tea and coffee duties even if i'm still waiting for my coffee! 21 Cars in the end so didn't quite beat last years 24 but we had a few regulars unable to make it this year. Great spread of colours even had the very nice amulet red again this year along with pine green (really like that colour). I think we need name badges as its hard to remember proper names/forum names ! luckily mate works ha ha The new "dome" event shelter was great and offered a break from the sun--even though i feel sun/wind burned now.
As some of you regular AITP will have seen today the show is going from strength to strength--even had the A1's next to us hmmm i could buy one of them -just not quite yet. It was great that the show has a larger area of the show field as last year it was starting to get very tight for space--next year its even bigger as plans are already in action.
The day didn't start off to good for one member as he managed to lock his keys in his car at mc'ds--luckily the nice recovery man worked his magic and was able to join us later. It is still great to see our cars getting so much attention from the other show attendees. I had a great day talking all things A2 and some things not A2, i even managed to to take a few pics I will share as soon as i sort them all out.
Roll on the next social cheers mike

one member as he managed to lock his keys in his car at mc'ds

As there's been a lot of views of this thread, can I post a quick suggestion that will hopefully be of use in just the above situation:

This is the brainchild of Pamanal21 - our very own Victor Meldrew who suggested that you get a blank blade off Ebay (they're only a quid or two) and get it cut to fit your car. This can then be slipped into your wallet and as it's just the blade, it'll not take up any room.

Hopefully, if you do leave your keys in the car, you'll have taken your wallet with you, so you can use the blade to get back into the car.

Just a thought!

hi guys, sorry i did not make it to the show i had family over that iv not seen in a long time, i was showing one of the family my A2 and was telling him about putting LEDs in all the lights and when showed him how yellow the back number plate lights are i notest one was not working and notest the screws was very rusty so i got a screw drive and started to unscrew them but they just rounded so i got my long nose mole grips out and tryed that and it worked but all the plastic is cracked now. can i still get the plastic part from the audi dealer and screws that will not rust.

Number plate light units are available from Audi and cost about £11 each. Fitting and info about stainless screws is covered here - http://www.a2oc.net/forum/showthread.php?t=9895

What a great day. A great turn out, as Mike said its all you guys and girls what makes it a great time. It was brill to see new faces and new. The weather was great only rained on the way home. Some great pics there Mike:) sorry about the coffee I will make sure you get one next time.

Amy Rich is right to be worried, thats the thing with socials you see what others have done and think I want to do that:) but I am glad you had a great time.

Chandy it was great to meet you both. It a pleasure to help out a fellow owner. That one of the things I love about the club. There is alway someone who is able to help with anything you need to know.

Mike I'm glad you managed to get in your car in the end. Talking to you in mc'ds car park about improving your mpg. But I don't think locking you keys inside and pushing it, will be pratical though;)

And I must say thank you to Alan's Pam for the lovely rock cakes:)

Just looking forward to the skid pan expeariance now will be a fun day out. It's not to late to put your name down.

Thanks again everyone for coming and making it such a great day.

Cheers

David
