Audis in the Park 2012

Hi amy21 --- audis in the park is a great day out. Keep your eye on this thread for more info.
the more the merrier cheers mike

Im not going to be able to make this now, which is a shame.

My brother is over from South Korea for a week and this is the weekend he is around at home, so I can go see him.

................next year i suppose

oh john such a shame was looking forward to catching up--but there will be other socials. cheers mike

Hi all As per other years at this show we will have coffee and tea making going on along with BBQ. So please bring some of your favourite grub with you. We will have some burgers and bacon but probably not enough for everyone so get in quick. This year we will have the large party dome to shelter us from the sun! So please bring a blanket or a fold up chair.
For those members that have not come to a social why not make this your first. Aitp offers more than just a car show as it also has permanent amusement rides and a big boot sale for those that are interested. This years show will feature many car clubs and trade stands. I really look forward to meeting you all - I'm easy to find on the day just look for the biggest A2 owner ! Cheers mike

There will be a show and shine competition again so all you OCD girls and boys can get your polish of choice out. There is also prizes for club stands so we may be shuffling cars around in colour order or any other display options- lets see on the day.

looking around the twenty mark at the moment but we always seem to get faces turn up on the day. Fingers crossed we can beat 24 of last year-shame as some of our regular socialites are going to be missing with things out of their control.
cheers mike

We will have plenty of space for our group so all are welcome and no excuses like "my car isn't in show condition" IT DOESNT NEED TO BE ! its all about being together.
just pay on the gate £6 per car even if its full ! 5 adults for you 5 seater cars-BARGAIN.

Hi one and all not long till Audi in the park----If you fancy a spot of McDonald's for breakfast please join us for 8--8.30 here-McDonald's on Orion Way, Kettering Business Park, Kettering, Northamptonshire NN15 6NL.
Or if you prefer just turn up and drive to where all the a2's are in the field. The show opens at 10 am so we normally get there for 9 so we can set up the flags and tent. riverlad will be on site with the tea and coffee as usual and i will be doing the BBQ again. We have bread sorted(rolls-slices) i will be cooking bacon this year as it went down well at ADI. BUT TO ALL, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO BRING WHAT EVER YOU FANCY AND USE THE BBQ.
I am so looking forward to seeing old and new faces this year to what is becoming the best Audi show of the year. Please bring a comfy chair or rug to sit on as i have booked the sun-lol if you have not been to a social before why not give it a try i think you will enjoy the day. cheers mike

Hi all, This is my first post, so I apologise in advance for my naivety on both the A2 front and the forums front.
I need some help in trying to 'programme' some of the features of our Audi A2 (03 plate) that we recently purchased. Some things like the remote central locking not working as they should, and having trolled through the various forums I understand that using a VAGCOM with some who knows how to programme it properly should help sort out many of these issues. I know that there is an Audi show on Sunday, and I was wondering anyone knows if anyone will be at the show offering that service. I would like to attend and if possible try and sort out some of these minor difficulties.
Thanking you in advance, and keep up the good work,

Hi yes there will be someone on hand at the show that will be able to help you out. If your having problems with the central locking it may well be that the central convenience module is failing. As this is one of the most common circuits to fail. But we can talk about that on sunday.
It will be great to see you and your car at the show--please just drive up and park on our club stand or meet us at the mc d's.
cheers mike

If you check out the met office site. The showers are only from after 16:30 so all should be good

"my car isn't in show condition" - my A2 brings a whole new meaning to this sentence... I washed it today and it now looks worse than it did before... is there somewhere it can be hidden? ha ha ha! I was going to get the alloys refurbished but never quite got round to it and as I was washing it even more paint or whatever it is peeled off... oops! I think the dirt made the stone chip marks less noticeable, note to myself - don't wash the car again! See you tomorrow :)

+1 for another local A2 turning up on Sunday, it would be rude not to! See some of you at Maccy D's at around 8.30. The car is washed, polished and then some wax slapped on; looking forward to my first social gathering with the A2OC.

Don't worry about it, there's a few stone chips on mine. Just think about supporting the club stand and entertaining the public.

And mine has a few little marks as well, the main thing is that you come along and park with the rest of us. Looking forward to seeing you all in the morning.
