It will be interesting to see how the vidaXL ones work out in terms of quality and feel. I have just acquired an OEM one from a 2002 vehicle, whilst it is in very good visual appearance it is suffering from the ‘tacky’ soft touch. I know of no cure other than stripping the soft touch off completely. Thanks Tom for adding me to the reserves list. I know how hard these GBs are as people that miss the first round keep coming out of the woodwork. I ran one for OEM-style boost gauges for the S2 Forum and ended up running 5 rounds, plus 2 rounds for gauge holders - a huge amount of work!
This is a great find as it looks very similar to the OEM and certainly nicer than the current batch of EU-based ones available through a certain auction site.
Has anyone ordered one yet as I would be keen to know what the look like in the flesh? It would be particularly interesting to see a side-by-side comparison with an OEM as they look identical from the images but of course one needs to feel them to see if the quality is comparable.
Cheers
Simon

Gentlemen,@jaffa_jim x2 for UK mainland delivery.
Armlehne / Mittelarmlehne. Few good ones under 50€ (that I can find) though. Suspect C5 A6s are more of a "just throw it away" model these days..German eBay beckons! What are the German search terms to look for?
Evening Seb,Maybe I've missed it, but how are these fitted to the car? Are there OEM holes where you're mounting the bracket or have those got to be drilled?
Do you want to be added to the reserve list.
Seb,I'm not quite sure I would trust myself with a drill, to be honest ?
On top, I remember an issue with TÜV where they required to see the VIN embossed in the same area (when trying to have new wheels approved - no such sillyness in the UK I'm sure), so should that get partially covered, it could be a dealbreaker.
I think the A1 version juust about managed to not cover it - what is this one like? (not visible in the pictures)
@NSM 1x - Germany
You have both been added to the reserve list.Count me in. I'll take one initially please.
Evening Mark,@2work Tom can I confirm the year of A6 C5 that is required to fit this bracket please, just to make sure I don't order the wrong one.
Thank you Tom, it indeed does help sir?Evening Mark,
The Audi A6 C5 (Type 4B) was available from May 1997 to June 2004. During this time the Audi Allroad Quattro with the same interior was available 1999 to 2005 and should have the same armrest. This is straight from Wiki but seems pretty reliable information.
The Armrest Part Number is 4B0 864 207.
Hope this helps.
Kind regards,
Tom
