Bespoke Branded Footwell Mats Group Order

Hello all,

I thought I'd move the list to the very start of the thread for easier viewing.

Here's the list below which will be updated periodically to show you the I have captured your interest. I'll revise the list over the next few days to ensure its fit for purpose but this should suffice for now:

As you've come to understand from pervious dealings, this Group Order is of course yet another zero profit venture. I'll be paying exactly the same for my mats that you are for yours. My time working in the background for you is free of charge, a way of giving back to the community I both enjoy and serve.

Morning all,

The list at Post #1 has been updated to reflect the latest additions.

I'll start sending PMs out one evening this coming week to hopefully have all the funds collected at the end of the month to submit the order.

My thanks go out to all members on the list for supporting yet another one of my group orders making it to order submission.

We’ve got there good people. Expect a PM during this coming week which will have payment instructions and requesting your postal address for your purchase to be sent to.

Really happy that this venture has generated enough interest to get to order submission.

In the next couple of weeks you will have your footwells further transformed but yet another group order.

Me again,

I'll not close the list down just yet on the off-chance that someone else wishes to join in.

The only caveat is that I can only close the list at multiples of 5 sets to maintain the same delivery costings to me. For example; if we get interest for 31 sets then we will need to wait until interest of 35 sets and so on...

Should there only be 1 more set spoken for, and to save time, then I would allow one of my sets to be taken by another member. I don’t like to be greedy.

Either way I see the list closed and payments into me at the end of the month. Your A2's sporting it's new mats by mid March.

I now need to remove one of my two requests for mats as a deposit has been put down for a caddy (no second a2 purchase on the cards for now) sorry!

As you’ve decided to choose to not have the club logos then I’ll adjust the price to everyone to equally share the template set up fee. Should only be a £0.07 increase.

Morning all,

I’m yet to update the list but will get to the that this evening. Looks like we’re back up to 30 sets though which is phenomenal news.

Dan has been in touch to share the progress of the Clubs logo embroidery:

The logo itself is 10cm x 5cm

The swatch will be approximately 11cm x 6cm, looking like this:

Whilst the logos detail has been retained I have already informed him that it needs work.
  • The incorrect font seems to have been used for the expanded name along the bottom. I beleive it should be Audi Type Extended which I can provide should he have difficulty obtaining it.
  • The top half of the wording along the bottom is distorted. Mainly visible on the red 2, capital O and capital C.
I have asked for the embroidery team to work this out and requested a sample once it’s complete as I sure you’ll agree, it must be spot on before it goes into mass production.

Not too bad a first attempt, but agree it needs work. The A2 itself looks OK, it's never going to be perfect with the resolution achievable in embroidery, but it's immediately recognisable as our logo. It also proves that they can handle curves, so there's no real excuse for the squared-off font. It looks like there might be a bit of a distortion on the red O and possibly the C as well. I wonder if that's just tension applied during the process?
 
Just out of interest what photo was the image used from as it seems to have non original aftermarket wheels?
Not meant as a criticism, just curious? ?

After a week or 2 of restricted online access, I’m back home and normal business should resume. I’ll have the list updated this morning and also get an update from Simply Car Mats.

Shouldn’t be too much longer until out footwells are further updated.
