Afternoon all,

Quick update on the list being submitted to Simply Car Mats: Over PM Ive had a further 2 sets added to the list which I have communicated to Dan. Hopefully its not too late but will find out soon enough.

Heres the latest list that has been transmitted:

You'll notice there are a few extra columns on the list but don't worry about anything on there as this is just for my own use as the order progresses.

The latest 2 membees to the list really is the end now though. Raymon @Raymie and Andrew @fhl I think you may have just made it but cannot confirm this until Dan comes back to me. Unfortunately it's too late for anyone else reading this list who would like to join this venture, the list is now closed.

For those of you involved in this group order, please expect a PM from me in the coming days (once Dan has confirmed prices) to request payment via PayPal Friends and Family (or bank transfer) along with asking for you full name and full postal address, please don't respond to this post with these details - wait for the PM. The price breakdown, as per earlier in this thread will be within the PM so everything is transparent.

I understand that there is currently a 10 day backlog of work at the factory but I'm not disregarding delivery prior to Christmas as its a few weeks away yet.

Sorry it wasn't completely clear but I expressed my interest back at the beginning of the thread when all we were talking about was black mats, and your earlier revisions of the spreadsheet had it correct. I'm looking for a set of black mats rather than light grey as mentioned in your last column, just the trim is in the light grey leatherette. That way any dirt they may encounter won't show so much if it ends up getting ingrained!

Good spot Sir. I’ve not changed anything in the earlier columns and you’ll have Black Mats with Light Grey Leatherette edging trim. It’s only the remarks column where I have made the mistake but this won’t effect your order. All will be delivered as requested Sir.

I’ll transmit a revised list to Dan to be sure though. Thanks for pointing it out though.

I know there is quite a few out there waiting for a PM from me regarding this group order. No news from Dan yet which is a little unlike his usual time to respond. I’ll call him in the morning to see where we’re at as I’d like to see this order quickly paid for, delivered to me and subsequently dispatched to those involved.

Evening all,

Dan has responded reporting that he's missed the spreadsheet that was attached to the email last week and as such the order hasn't progressed at all. I can only apologies for this clerical error as I can confirm that the spreadsheet is attached to the email in my Sent Items so the misunderstanding is at the other end. This is probably going to see the order delivered very early in 2024 and not by Christmas. Apologies again.

On the positive side of this error, the late arrivals to the list are now confirmed that their request has made it and will be honoured at the discounted price. Below is the final list which cannot be added to on this thread or via PM. The list has been resent and I'll confirm with Dan first thing in the morning that he's in receipt of the spreadsheet.



I'll next be in touch soon as Dan responds to the email with confirmed pricing. From there the individual PMs will be generated and transmitted to gain payment and delivery addresses. Again, don't add any personal details to this thread, please wait for the PM in the coming days.

Afternoon all,

Think I've realised why there was a clerical error with the previously submitted order. My original email which the spreadsheet attached to was slowly pushed further down the email chain whilst requesting for an update, which Dan never actually see himself. He now only spends a few days a week in the office so someone else was picking up the emails I was sending. All sorted now though and can confirm that Simply Car Mats have the list.

Some further news though. As per their website, Simply Car Mats can no longer offer Light Grey as a mat colour in their Super Deluxe range. Light Grey can only be obtained through their Deluxe range...

According to the list above, @BAllenA2UK, @gcrhill and @Raymie are the only members requesting this mat colour. Can I ask you three fine people to let me know what you would like to do, the options available are:

1. Stick with the Super Deluxe mats but change the mat colour to either Black, Dark Grey (Anthracite) or Beige
2. Swap from Super Deluxe to the slightly thinner Deluxe mats to keep you chosen colour scheme
3. Walk away if neither option 1 or 2 are of interest to you.

Please do let me know soonest so I can update the order accordingly.

So far that is the only information I can supply right now apart from we're probably not going to get these mats in our footwells ahead of Christmas. They will of course make a great addition to your aluminium friend very early in the new years. In the background Dan is working on the individual pricing as there is quite some variations within our order which was always going to be the case; just like last time. More information to follow in the coming days.

Apologies again for this slight delay in proceedings as I've also not been able to fully track what's been happening as I've been at reduced capability due to illness; back to fighting fit now though.

I have just been informed that due to stock levels, Simply Car Mats can no longer offer Light Grey mats in any range for the foreseeable future. Dan is unable to confirm when this colour will return to their offerings.

Sorry for this limitation. @BAllenA2UK, @gcrhill and @Raymie please advise how you'd like to proceed as the only options available right now are:

1. Stick with the Super Deluxe which can only come in either Black, Dark Grey (Anthracite) or Beige
2. Walk away if option 1 doesn't completely satisfy your request

Evening all,

I’ve now heard back from the 3 members who originally requested Light Grey mats. I’m now in a position to send out the individual PMs to those involved within this group order. This will commence this evening once the boys are down for the night.

The order won’t actually be submitted until all payments are in. Quite excited to have another set of these fantastic mats as I liked them in the AB OEM A2 but have liberated them for the JR EUD A2. The second set are quite needed.

Now sitting down to commence the time consuming PMs (minimum 180 seconds between each PM) to all involved in this group venture.

I'll host a final list below but will first explain the pricing dan has come back with.

£31.70 - Super Deluxe mats
£3.00 - Edging trim charge if different from mat colour
£4.50 - Leatherette trim charge
£4.00 - Rubber heel pad
£20.00 - 2x A2OC embroidered badges

The above pricing is party much as it is earlier on in this thread.

Below are the prices from the rest of the range that Dan is going to offer for this group order:

£29.36 - Deluxe mats (@Proghound)
£33.00 - 3mm Rubber mats (@gcrhill)

As promised here is the list as it stands ahead of requesting payment from all those involved:


The above pricing on the spreadsheet is for the mats only. Delivery is not included.

Delivery to me is £5.95 per 5x sets of mats (let’s call it £1.20 per individual set) followed by £9.28 delivery from me to you as shown earlier in this thread. Individual pricing breakdown will be contained within the payment PMs which I’ll start tomorrow morning now as it’s time to retire for the day.

@IvanTang you have made it to the list, assume you would like the standard (no additional charge) carpeted heel pad, if not then let me know.

Individual PMs requesting payment along with delivery details will start to roll out shortly and will all be within your inbox by tomorrow lunchtime. Can I request swift payments in order to enable me to get the order submitted and get this put to bed until the mats arrive, where I'll spring back into action and get them distributed within 24 hours of receipt.
