Brackets for the struts?

Assume the brackets/clip that holds the ABS cable etc on the struts are not possible to move to the new strut; does anyone have the part number?

The new Monroes came without.

Sure I swapped these brackets over to the new struts when I fitted FSD's. Don't think it was too difficult but it's so long ago I can't recall the details.

Good reason to try is that new ones could be around £15 each

Just found this youtube video and it shows removal of the brackets about 1min 15 seconds in from the start

I noticed Ian and Adam tried to remove as well .....

Front suspension overhaul

The last couple of days were spent renewing the components on the front of my sons A2 1.4i, this is a pig of a job and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. We started at 3pm on Friday, worked until 9.30pm, then Saturday 9.30am to 8pm, Sunday was just about tidying and finishing the little bits...

They are still available from Audi, but expensive. From memory, about £8 each. I broke one of mine last year when swapping them over to the Monroe struts :mad:
 
they certainly come off the struts, done it many times, they are spring clips and kind off clip together. spray with WD40 and clean of the crap and you will see how they clip together

Yes, ours broke and we used 50mm jubilee clips and to be honest they work better than the originals as they can be removed easily and cost next to nothing.
