Does anyone know what the Heathrow side of the M25 is like on a Friday evening? Because I know the Essex side is a no go at the moment!

Hello fellow "glampers""campers""b&b'ers" we normally follow this loose plan of Friday night a BBQ and Saturday we get a take away and eat in camp. is this still OK for everybody or would we prefer to go out for a meal on the Saturday? so please post on here if you have a preference.
looking forward to catching up with you all under the stars. cheers mike

yes i have marshmallows all ready to go-----so david what are your views take away or meal out

I enjoyed the takeaway we had at Stratford upon avon being able to sit in a group having a chat and laugh. Nicer being able to sit around in a big circle it involves everybody.

Hello mike/David as it is also Yvonne's birthday could we find a nice pub and get a big table together, probably warmer ! and better for her back ! poor old bird.regards robin.

That's good thinking. It might be a bit chilli out.

Will have to find a nice big chocie cake for Yvonne's birthday.

Cheers

David

Hi again its only me i have taken the bull by the horns and have booked a table for 20 people on the Saturday night at a pub very close--prices are good as is the food selection. I really hope this suits all you fellow glampers. The BBQ will still take place on the Friday so please bring your food of choice.

b****r!! Angie and I will be back in Mancunia by Saturday evening - we've got an important tournament on the Sunday (I'm defending champion, so need to be there!).

We'll be in our pod this time tomorrow!!

Cheers,

MIke

Can't tempt you to stop until after the meal. Table booked nice and early at 7pm.

Let's see how it goes - we've also got 5 hungry puddies to get back to as well.

Oh, and unless anyone has any specific requests, I'll not be packing any tools on this trip, apart from the laptop and VCDS.

Cheers,

Mike

Well we are half way home at robin and maddies in Birmingham -- we would like to wish mrs skipton a swift recovery after hurting her self and having to go home early. I don't know what happened to my weather request but at least we had good weather to pack up in and have a nice drive home. Big thanks to all that came as without you we wouldn't have a social scene. It was great to see some new members join us and we all had a great time. I will upload some images soon, hopefully this will encourage some of our members to take the plunge and join us.
To anybody thinking of trying a "pod" I can really recommend them as they are very snug and warm, with the added bonus you drive up empty your car and your settled. Once the sun came out and the greyness had gone the scenery was great.
I would also like to thank everyone for not laughing to much when this morning I decided to slip and slide along on my knees!!!! It must have been very entertaining and I'm not sure I would have been able to have held it in ha ha ha.
It was quite interesting watching the AA man trying to get the keys out of a locked A1 full of camping equipment-the owner had parked at his pitch then walked away to talk with friends-upon his return used the boot open button and placed his keys in boot then shut it-doh. He was a good sport and took it well, eventually had to get a locksmith out to open the car-he did say it had cost a prety penny!
Cheers mike and vonnie

Mike - Thank you for a great weekend, as ever, brillant location and lovely company. :) Worth the 800 mile around trip!
David - If I marry you do I get the family fudge recipe? ;-)
