Central Scotland Cruise 28th March 2009

Hi Murdo,

How many are we expecting?

Cheers

Graham

There are 7 A2's confirmed (although Roy (( Chubbybrown)) from Inverness has to head home straight after his cruise fitting).
So there will be around 12 of us, and more if anyone who is still in the 'maybe' camp appears, which would be grand!;)
I'm delighted with that response, given that there arent a significant number of club members in Scotland - and its especially great to see Skipton and Pamanal making the journey North. :D

scotland cruise

Hi guys,

This maybe a late entry but I would like to go with the others on the A2 convoy up to scotland tomorrow. Can anyone tell me where I should meet with the others from England. I am travelling from Cardiff in WalesCF23 6HE. There will be two of us and we may take both our A2's.

I am in work till 2200 tonight so I will check this forum for any replies sent

Thanks

It's be grand to have a representative from the Kingdom of Wales, but therewont be a convoy travelling up - I'm leaving after work tonight and going up the M6, Pamanal21 the other English participant is setting off from Nittingham and going up the A1.

Please come by all means, but it'll be a case if see you there.

Cheers

Mike

Hey Guys good luck with the weather for tomorrow, hope you'll post some photo's or at least a link to the paper if they put it on line. See Murdo if you don't ask you don't get (if nothings going on they use this stuff to fill the pages out)

Cheers Phil

How did it go? pix

It was a very enjoyable day!

The weather was kind to us, the company was good, the scenery was great,
the Dewar's Distillery tour was interesting (the single malt was particularly fine!) and the meal was delicious!

Thanks very much to Murdo and his cousin David for organising.

Superb day out in some of the most spectacular scenery in the UK - the fact that the weather was stunning helped, as did the snow on the mountains (it didn't reach the lowlands though).

Massive thanks to Murdo and David (great route), Graham and Roy for battling the snow to get there, Iain and his better half for making good company and Alan (Pamanal21) for travelling up from Nottingham!!! Talk about a happy wanderer!

As I've just done nearly 700 miles and 3 cruise fits in 24 hours, you'll excuse me for not posting photos - I'm completely knackered!

Cheers,

Mike

Thanks to all who made the effort and Mike who has another notch on his cruise belt

Thanks to all who attended the first Scottish Cruise, it was great to put some faces to names! Lovely people - I'm glad to have met you :D

We were sooo lucky with the weather - Perthshire was glorious (especially compared to Roy's piccies of the A9 at Inverness!) and this enhanced a great cruise route with some striking scenery. Having never been in a distillery, Dewar's was a more interesting and enjoyable visit than I had anticipated. Finally, the grub at the Courtyard was excellent. Jake and his team made us very welcome.
Ada's new cruise control is just fab. Thanks Mike. Looking forward to the Bose fit next month;)

Here's to next years Scottish Cruise and I'll see some of you again at ADI :)

I second that. A grand day out with good chat and a drive through some very picturesque countryside. Special thanks to Murdo and Dave for organising the event and of course to Mike who notched up another couple of cruise installs (very pleased with ours thanks Mike!).

A fine effort by Mike and Alan to have come so far for the day and to the others who's all travelled further than us. We felt rather local :D

I only took a few at the meeting place - none of the distillery tour or the snowy mountains unfortunately (I was driving, so have an excuse!).

Hopefully someone else has captured the majestic splendour of Loch Tay.

Cheers,

Mike

 I'l need to take full responsibility for lack of photos! I was passenger in the lead car and had ample opportunity to take some snaps and I forgot! There are a few in my album, although they are just our cars and the group at the meeting point! Maybe Iain and Jen took some?

I'll make amends next year, but I definitely missed out on sharing some spectacular scenery with the team. Sorry folks! :(

How was the article in the paper go, did they do a big spread or just put you on the side or did they turn up at all ??????????????????????????????

Phil

No they didnt turn up! We did a press release and emailed it to them, and let them know our outline plans of where we'd be ... but no show. Ah well, their loss!:D
