Diesel Redex

I use Millers in every fill. Definitely more responsive. Not sure about consumption but I'm convinced that it also significantly quietened my initially disappointingly clattery TDI 90. Is that possible???

It raises the cetane level, so I imagine combustion will be different.
It could also be the placebo effect? These things are often difficult to assess at a human level.

I am not always convinced by Which? reports and tests. 'Diesel Car' magazine ran long term tests with Millers some years ago which were quite conclusive regarding the advantages of the additive. However the changes in the blending of additives by the refineries to the base fuel to comply with legislation will have reduced some of those advantages. One effect of reducing particulate emmissions from fuel by reducing sulphur levels has been to reduce the energy in the fuel and therefore economy. Many long standing diesel owners (like me) were getting mid 50's mpg from BX's and the like in the late 80's with quite crude mechanical fuel injection systems..... mmmmm progress?

Put it in before you fill up, it will help it dissolve better.

Also remember to let the air out of your tank with the air release valvelocated just inside the filler. This means you will save money from the robbing government and oil companies today who are intent on putting a penny on a litre every other day at the moment
