Double-DIN dash?

I have seen those double to single DIN conversion fronts at halfrauds while I was looking for a ISO lead to mod for my mutant head unit. They cost a fair bit for what they are!

I want the symphony 2 in the Audi but I will have to make my own panel as its only single DIN at the moment :/

I have that all-important double-DIN cage ..... I know that with it, it is possible to convert a single DIN dash to Double DIN. I want £65 for it, +£10 postage.

Great! Is that pp to sweden as well?

It is the "hens teeth" version, personally removed from an A2 ....

Oh dear, that's great news for potential buyers but no consolation to Dan - though I still think he got a good buy due to the scarecity of this unique part.

RNS-E was Audi's top of the range kit with sat nav and the ability to play back mp3s from 2xSD cards plus control a cd changer and take external inputs for things like reversing cameras, tv tuner modules, Bluetooth connectivity and even basic voice control.

I installed the Mk2 RNS-E this year with a Bluetooth module. Took some doing!

were can a chap find one of these nowadays I have been searching breakers nation wide and the closest I got was a guy in leeds selling the dash with air bags for like 500 pounds but I only want the din or the dash minus air bags????

On A2s the double din cage is part of the dash and not sold separately. The only way you are likely to come by a cage is to find a car where the passenger airbag has gone off and split the dash.
Rules apply but you could post in the Wanted section. Club members occasionally break cars and may have the parts you need. They are also very helpfl in spotting ads and passing on the info to prospective buyers.

Hi craigyb And any other A2 members out there that know how to take a dash apart I am going to be taking a dash apart this weekend and could really do with a guide of some sort as to how to go about this whole process so if any one can help with a written guide that would be really helpful like a list of tools required ect I will not be doing this alone thankfully so hopfully this will be slightly easier in some aspect?
