Ebay Cruise fitting service

Hey Mike looks like i booked my retro fit at the right time to get that weekend, if they come off it has come at the right time.Hows the job by the way, have they said anything more or are they leaving you hanging?

You're right there Phil!

As for the job, they've extended the consultation period until 18th July, so I should know something the week after, if there's still an ITV to work for by then - has anyone been looking at their share price recently? 12 months ago, they were £1.30 each, 6 weeks ago they were 68p each and yesterday, they closed at 48p!!!

Paddys, I can't see me staying on another night, but if you're in Notts at the weekends, I can pop down to do a retrofit at some point - it's not that far from Saddleworth and I'll just charge the usual plus a small travel surcharge. PM me for more.

Anybody else fancy cruise control fitted in the London / Surrey / Kent area?

So far we have clubsport (x2?), dan b, alxt and myself all keen. Mike and others, how about getting together on Saturday 12th of July?

Can't do the 12th, as I have a previous booking! The weekend after is the Club Social at Duxford, so how about the week after (26th)? And before you ask, I'm booked for the 5th too.

When we've got a date sorted, I will need a deposit from each member to ensure that all who have said they are turning up actually do so and I'll contact everyone via PM to finalise things.

Hi Mike,

I'd be interested then I can have cruise on the way up to Yorkshire!! So what day are we all commiting too? Got to be July for me as I'm busy holidaying for most (but not all) of August.

Just a note to echo other peoples comments. Mike is a top bloke and does a top notch job and knows the A2 inside out. The finished job is as it would be fitted at the factory,just don't look at Tank or you'll go green with envy!;)
 
Damn, I cannot do the 26th (overseas) - how about Sunday 13th? The only downside is that this would make Mike's weekends rather full with A2 stuff!
 
OK, here's the way I see the situation at the moment and a possible workaround to make sure everyone gets a proper service before the end of July:

So far, we have the following takers for cruise fitting - Paddys, clubsport (& friend?), dan_b, alxt, MPG Lover and badlyread. So, 6 plus a friend, although Paddys will have to be done separately in Nottingham, as I really do not have any free time during the week for the forseeable.

So, that leaves 5 plus a friend. If anyone can make it to the Duxford social, I can do two fittings on the Saturday evening, back at the campsite and then I'll do the remainder of the fits the following day, Sunday 20th.

Duxford is 50 miles from central London, so it'd be good to see folks there - as far as I can recall, all those showing interest in the cruise fitting would be new faces at a social.

If this is acceptable, we can firm things up and I'd then ask for deposits.

hi mike can i have my cruise control fitted at the duxford social day. saturday would be great. i contacted you a few months ago about it but havent found the time to get to yours from sunny essex. really looking forward to the day out--busmans holiday for an aerospace engineer!!!! let me know if you need a deposite and any thing else you require. cheers mike
 
Thanks Mike. I can't make Duxford during the day sadly. I think I can make it up there in the evening though, if that still works. Otherwise I can do the 20th.

a2sumo - you have a PM and alxt, let's keep an eye on things as to whether anyone else can make it to the social - there's little point in you just coming to a campsite if I can fit you in on the Sunday.

Sorry guys I am not available on the 20th, I am away from then to the 26th, plus or minus a day. Unless someone else wants to host a cruise fitting session then I guess it is the Duxford outing on the 19th for the really keen and/or we arrange a date in August at mine. Apologies again, all our diaries are just too full!
 
It's over to you guys then - I already have one taker for a cruise fit at the social (a2sumo), so one other can be squeezed in and if anyone wants to host the Sunday (and I;ll get back to MPG Lover separately), then great, otherwise, we'll synchronise the diaries for August.

Can I take the second slot on the 19th then? Being on the East of London, I'm probably just as close to Duxford as I am to Purley (at least in travel time).

To clarify, Mike, you'll supply the cruise control parts. Is that right?

Just thought this will be useful to arrange your cruise fit

I've had many email threads trying to arrange bbq and meetings. This seems to be great if you want to see the best dates for everyone, only need someone to create a meeting proposal, then the rest put in their available dates

So is anyone able to host Skipton on the Sunday after the Duxford meet? My right calf is not looking forward to the Summer holiday tour......
 
I'd also really like to get cruise fitted to my A2.

I can make the 20th July if that works out.
I can't do 26/27th or 2nd August but the rest of August is all OK.
