EML + No Heating

Hi all,

A little help please. I've recently had my EGR pipe replaced as it had a split. I now still have my engine management light on and my heating doesn't seem to work. Air con is fine. The code i have is P2205 which Spike identified as this: GENERIC FAULT - NOx Sensor Heater Control Circuit/Open (Bank 1). For reference i have a 52 plate 1.6FSI SE now at a lovely 84k miles.

I've since read in other posts that other people have had symptoms similar to mine. What i really want to know is if there is any way to test the lambda sensor/NOx sensor and/or if anyone knows where i should look to be able to find these? Could it possibly be something as simple as a blown fuse somewhere perhaps?

Any help as usual is much appreciated.

Kind regards,

Holly

Hi Holly
I suggest you have (another?) diagnostic scan but as a starter, Low coolant level, a faulty sensor or a problem with one of the motorised air distribution flaps could be the cause of poor heater performance.

These pics of the lambda and NOX sensor locations may help
In pic 1 item 7 is the NOX sensor, item 18, the ex gas temp sender and item 19, the Lambda probe
In pic 2, item 1 is the Lambda probe and item 2 is the exhaust gas temp probe
In pic 3, item 1 is the NOX sensor

Cheers Spike
