End of year social and curry night

Hi people just to let everyone know the curry house is booked for 5.30-6.00pm on 24 nov -SATURDAY. This enables us to eat early evening and for those members that have to travel a considerable distance to get home at a sensible time. The curry house is 10 mins away from RAF Cosford and has a car park at the rear so should offer us all good parking space.
If your still thinking about attending either or both parts of the day please let me know very soon as i have to give the curry house the seating requirements.
many thanks mike

Sorry I won't be able to make it, i've got a 90th Birthday to attend. Hope everyone has a great day/evening. Hopefully I'll be able to attend the next social :)

WILL ALL THAT NEED TO KNOW THE CURRY HOUSE ADDRESS PLEASE VIEW THE CALENDAR.

Looking forward to seeing you all and having a great day out. many thanks mike

Ok people i'm so looking forward to tomorrows social and i hope we get good weather-although its in doors;)
So with the possibility of wet or cold i say we meet up in the cafe in the museum for 11.00-11.30. I will be wearing my a2oc cap so to those that its your first social i'm easy to spot(a2sumo explains a lot). The museum has some fantastic items to see and as a bonus this weekend they have a special exhibition of Gerry Anderson memorabilia.
Please pm me if you need my phone number and drive carefully-see you tomorrow mike and yvonne

As it's forecast torrential rain from around 4pm tomorrow, I am going to play it by ear (?) and see how it goes - due to general work commitments this week and as we're only coming for the meal, the last thing I want to be doing is battling along the M6, having been up from 5am that morning, and I'll be up at 5am on Sunday too.

Cheers,

Mike

A really great day out and a good turnout too. RAF cosford very interesting and a well thought out museum - lucky its all indoors with the rain today :)

Lovely curry at the shifnal balti too.

Thanks to all for the great company and special thanks to mike and vonnie for planning it all.

See you again soon.

I agree murdo.

A great day out with great company.

Looking forward to next year's socials!

Regards,

What a great day--really recommend the RAF Cosford museum. It's a fantastic place well laid out with aircraft in all sorts of wonderful posses. Seeing the Gerry Anderson puppets and models was a bonus. I will post my photo's in due coarse.
The curry house did us proud with a nice long table and great food. Fantastic to see such a great turn out and those that were unable to make it were missed. Our trip back to Birmingham was very wet with loads of spray on the motorway and standing water on the side roads---so hoping all that had further to travel home got home with out incident
One puzzle of the evening is how did tony end up with a single red rosé from the curry house owner? So Petra if he says he bought it for you he is lying haha.
Cheers mike

As above what a great day:) how big is the Vulcan bomber ! wow

The curry was top notch with great company. My only regret as usual that there is never enough time to have a good chat with everyone.

Cheers

David

Had a brilliant time :D thanks guy. Museum was really interesting. Curry place was really nice, thank you to Robin and Maddie for letting me stay at theirs

A great day out and superb company as usual.

Fantastic to have such a good turn out considering the nasty weather across the country.

A big thanks from me to Mike & lovely wife Vonnie for organising a fabulous day and it was nice to see Maddy looking so well too.

Looking forward to next year now.

Cheers

Jeff

The curry night was great & it was very good to meet everybody again, even if only briefly. It would have been good to have been there for the full day.
