Engine undertray

Under tray arrived today. Correct part. Very happy with the service. £100 saving on UK price. Amazing.

Box twice the size of the undertray?

Mine arrived yesterday! Saved £100. Massive box which amused the delivery guy!
Get them while they are available would be my advice. Might even buy a couple more!

Guys, I did a service on mine earlier today and found my undertray was held on by 3 bolts/ screws and a tie-wrap. Essentially I need a new undertray and all of the fixings, mines a Petrol 1.6 and wondered if anyone had the part number for this as I believe it's different from the TDI versions?

Thanks

Also it appears my A2 doesn't have a cover/undertray for the Fuel Filter so if anyone knows that part number that would great!

Cheers

There is one in post #9. I understand the only difference between petrol and diesel undertray is that diesels have added noise insulation and are interchangeable. I have two FSIs and if I have to buy then I would buy diesel just for the extra noise insulation, it's a thin corrugated/dimpled layer that sits on top of the tray.

Paul(Deproman) does some kind of repair kit that might be worth considering. Details in his 3D printer parts thread.

Cool if the only difference is the insulation then I can purchase a TDI one in post 13, from Germany for around £60 all in and fit it to my 1.6 FSI and I guess keep the insulation in place?

One other query, dose the undertray come with the screws/ fixings with it?

Yes, keep the insulation in place that is the point of buying the "wrong" one. No idea about fixings but I imagine not but ask the members above who have bought.

Just wondering can you buy the fixings together as a pack or do you have to order them by individual fixing?

Cheers

When I bought them I got them from eBay - separate orders for each. The costs are very low. Get hex panel screws, speed fasteners, and make sure you have 2 10mm nuts.
