Can anyone advise, please!
Last night, I begin to drive when after a few miles the ESP and ABS warnings lit up, a brake warning light begins to flash when with a few long loud beeps.
I stopped the car and checked the fluid level - it was full. Checked the brakes, pressing hard a few times - no noticeable difference from normal.
Some 30 Miles from home and very late at night I decided to take a chance and try to crawl home, frequently testing the brakes.
With no noticeable adverse effect I gradually increased the speed until, approaching home on an empty road I tried 60 mph with nothing to indicate of any malfunction.
This morning I checked under the bonnet, fluid the same as last night and no other indication of any malfunction.
Could not check under the wheel arches as it started raining, will try tomorrow but with a mate following, I pushed it up to 70 mph on the near dual carriageway with, again no ill effects of any kind.
Before I take it to the stealers, can any one suggest a less expensive alternative.
A mate suggested an electrical fault, something got disconnected???
Cheers
Mike
