Scott,

Personally I quite like them. I like the idea of chrome handles myself, however personally wouldn't go for the drilled ones. I see it a bit like choosing alloys when you buy a new car - I could imagine a lot more people doing this if the manufacturer offered it as a option ;)

The only cars that should have golden wheels are Subaru's....

When I passed my test 13 years ago, my first car was an old W-reg Toyota Starlet in orange. I went to Halfords and bought one of those transfers that goes in the back window of the car and said 'Toyota' in big white letters.

I ask myself to this day-Why the hell did I do it?

I think had the handles been of the brushed aluminium "look" and not chrome I could have liked it in conjunction with those wheels (won't work eihter way with standard wheels I think). The Audi TT's accents inside look more chrome than the A2's aluminium and the TT also has these round dimples everywhere. Thus I think these were "designed" for the TT and not the A2... Leave them on and just chrome your wheels Chrysler PT Cruiser style... But please DON'T put those forever-spinning things on!!!

Fairbrother, I am a fully paid up card carrying numptie, with a new top of range Micra for Peter. Why numpties? I s'pose that is a term for doting idiots like us. My Dad never bought me anything, even a pair of shoes was a struggle (to the sound of "Hearts and Flowers" on the violin).

Did'nt mean to upset anyone with the term 'numptie'. I love my son to bit's and want the world for him, but I was probably brought up differently than most. When it came to the purchase of my first car, my father took me to one side and said he would be of some assistance. After a quick phone call, he escorted me to the local bank, introduced me to the Manager and sat to one side while I filled in a request for my first bank loan. He wanted me to be responsible I suppose and hopefully have more respect for a vehicle that was to be paid for by myself. I am often flabergasted at seeing teenagers driving round my local neighbourhood like complete maniacs in brand new Saxo VTR's and such like. I just wish they would show more respect for something that was obviously purchased by their parents. Then again, I'm sure at some stage or other, we have all driven like that. Christ, listen to me - I'M GETTING OLD !

Fairbrother, there are a lot of teenagers in this neighbourhood with mouth watering cars, and a lot of people who HAD the same, but they went missing sometimes for a while and sometimes for ever, and many just burnt. Do you think that the 2 facts are linked?
I am not upset at Numptie, I've never heard it before, is it local dialect?

HANDLES NOW REMOVED!
Thanks chap's for all your comments, good and bad. You were all right by the way, they did look crap. While I was there with hairdryer in hand softening the adhesive, my neighbour popped his head over the fence and asked what I was up to. Once I had explained, he said that he also had thought they looked naff, but did'nt have the bottle to say anything. Shame really, cos he has a VW golf with the same handle design. Guess I will have to sell them elsewhere. Problem is that I managed to snap one whilst trying to prise it off. Will now advertise on ebay for two-door cars only. You live and learn.

Bloody hell, thought I was in for a quick sale!
