Heko Wind Deflectors

Well just to update you Darren fitted them to day and they fit very easy and guess what no window pinching at all, i didn't do anything to the window just fitted them tried the window, straight up no problems. Did crack the rear one on the passenger side trying to fit the clip in the position as per distructions so fitted it where i thought it should go no problems, just letting the glue set on the other side will fir that tomorrow now.

They look great as i said i got the one's of Ebay came from Germany very well packed and took about 5 days and they are HEKO, will post some photos tomorrow

Cheers Phil

PS Go on Darren no more HELICOPTER lol

Hi I was also thinking of buying a set, I saw the eBay ones and would like to see the Heko one's, anybody got the link for an approved seller?
Also I asked the eBay seller for a pair of JUST the rear ones and one full front and rear set, but he can't supply just rears on their own. Any idea's?

Hi Sarge,

These are what I was looking at:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Audi-A2-2000-up-wind-deflectors-5dr-4pcs_W0QQitemZ110358277144QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item110358277144&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1683|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318

These are what Phil has bought - and they are Heko:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Wind-Deflectors-4-Piece-AUDI-A2-Hatchback-5-doors-00-on_W0QQitemZ190294861905QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item190294861905&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1683|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318

This is for the full set, (front and rear), though you can buy just the front alone if this is your preference. Just run a search.

Cheers,

Darren

Thanks Darren, It was a separate pair of rears on their own not the fronts that I need, as well as a full all round set.

Come to think of it, as some prefer fronts only, has anyone got a set of rears they don't want?

SARGE

Just in case your request gets lost on here why don't you post it on the wanted bit you may get more responce (i take it they are for your Bro as Alan's old car only had the fronts if i remember right )

Cheers Phil

Hi Phil, I have emailed the seller, Yes the rears are for Sha's car, they are available then its ok but he's not too bothered if not.

I was thinking about installing the full set on Shoby car.

I hear the rears fly off, is this possible?

Some good shots there Phil, nice to see the lines looking down the length of the car and especially to see the view from inside looking out.

Looks like a quality product, but I am still going to wait until the next social and have a look "in the flesh", (so to speak), before making my final decision.

Regards,

Darren

It took the shot from inside because i remembered that you wanted to now how they looked next to the big "A" post so now you can see, i took the shot looking down the car to show you how neat they look and that they don't look like the 4X4's with them big bubbles on the windows (a couple of the lads hat work have them) they look terrible

So what you waiting for :confused:lol

Cheers Phil

Right I hope to put this to bed and force Darren into spending his cash!

I gave the A2 a good clean this weekend (having not cleaned it inside or out since September  ), and whilst I was at it, I removed and then re-stuck with double sided tape my deflectors.

They have been fitted continuously for 2 years, and I attach pictures of the window rubbers showing absolutely no damage/mis-shaping or evidence that wind deflectors have ever been fitted!

Darren, buy them. :p

Got a set of these and fitted them today. A bit of probs with the 'anti-pinch' sometimes, but they seem to have cured the helicopter-noise (which is good since wifey has taken to having the window open constantly since my bottle of Redex leaked in the boot!) :)

Noticeable wind noise on the motorway though when the windows are up - I guess it's spoiled the perfectly engineered aerodynamics a bit! Might keep them on for the summer and see how they go...
