OK a few months ago I purchased an a2 tdi with a blown BHC engine. (With a brand new turbo fitted prior to the engine blowing)
With some advice from members on here I purchased a good AMF engine and swapped all the components over to make a BHC engine.
All good so far.
Car started and run fine on trial runs then eml light and error code P0299.
Have done some research and it looked like vac lines or turbo boost issue.
Now the findings.
The new shiny turbo I thought the adjustable gide veins were seized due no use.
But I have found that the bellows seem to work the wrong way round.
Does this work on vacuume or pressure is my question. As I can pull the actuating rod out but not push it in towards the bellows.
Or does the turbo control the veins and push the bellows to give a pressure reading.
Sorry it's a bit long winded.
