How do you remove the open sky blinds?

Removal of the rear part is a lot harder! I’m not even sure it’s possible without removing the roof lining.

the sliding blind can be very easily removed with the roof open fully, it slides on spring fingers, simply push these towards the centre of the car with a couple of thin screwdrivers, you will need to push both spring fingers at the same time, then lift then corner upwards, repeat at the other corner same side, then lift out the sliding section.
Cheers,
Paul

Thanks Paul.

does anyone have a footage how to remove it? i want to remove rear blind (front is missing, previous owner probably removed) and now it looks bad. not sure if i know what to do when i read your tips :) thanks

Literally just lever the roof lining from the silver frame and then the frame will come out through the open sunroof. However, the silver frame holds the roof lining up and it will probably sag and rattle without the frame in place.

Not so easy to understand what you mean, not even with google translator :) but will try and let u know if i was successful

The silver blind frame sits on top of the black roof frame and is held from below by clips. To remove the blind frame you need to work round where the roof lining meets the blind frame, releasing each of the clips. A plastic prising tool is best to not damage the aluminium but a flat bladed screwdriver can also be used.

Note that the clips are not meant to come off the roof lining! This was my mistake when I removed my roof lining, I should have released the clips from the blind frame rather than the roof!

Once all the clips have been released, the blind frame can be lifted upwards and out when the roof is fully retracted. Note as mentioned by the previous poster, the clips both hold the blind down in place and hold the roof lining up.

With the blind removed, the roof lining is only supported on the outside edges and could sag downwards. A, destructive, way of preventing this is to leave the silver blind frame in place, holding the roof up, and cut away the mesh and cross bar. This also looks neater as you won't have the gap where the blind frame used to be when removed.
