LED Sidelights vs Philips Bluevision vs Standard Candles

I bought these and WOW they are bright.

Simple plug and play.

It says they're 12mm. Do they fit the tube or you're using them without it?

I've used LEDs for the number plate but no matter what I buy they stop working (or start flickering) after just a couple of months. Are these sidelights any better? How long have you had them?
