Out of interest is the car running on E5 or E10 petrol?
A friend of mine is having misfire issues but he's not been using super unleaded and I wonder if there could be a link.

Thanks. I'll try putting some of the E5 in next time I fill up. He's full of E10 at the moment.
My year 2000 Rover 75 wouldn't perform well on Super Unleaded and the mpg plummeted so that's why I haven't tried it in Barry.
We did wonder if there could have been a little bit of dirt or something in the fuel to upset him?

Even "Battersea", a lowly 75BHP AUA single coil, gets a little grumpy without his diet of 99 octane Tesco E5. Goes really well on E5.
