My new Ebony Black 1.6 FSI Sport

I think they can be prysed out with a flat head screwdriver. Steve B did ot on his project when changing to a 6 speed. Have a look at his thread.
Not only that, but I think I still have the one I took off, which you can have if you PM me your name and address (if i can find the part)

Only just seen this that is a very kind offer thank you

On a side mot here is a couple of photos not the best but you get the idea of some mods carried out lately

Here are the blue heated mirrors which was a nice upgrade from non heated

Also the reverse camera with screen integrated in the rear view mirror

Normal

And when you engage reverse, not easy to get a photo but great in car for those tight spots

Also had a new cat fitted as that was knackered and then after that needed a new flex pipe so had that done.

Still not running right which is so annoying, I have worked my way through most bits and still have one annoying code, I will investigate further.

Really like the reverse camera in the mirror, where did you buy the kit?

I'm sure its been said before but when it comes to the FSI I don't think it bode well that the engine code is BAD.

Here is the camera just above the 5, can't be seen with the boot down from normal angles

I bought the camera and mirror separately of good old eBay for about £25 from different sellers.

The mirror just clips over the factory mirror and is anti dazzle/auto dim so I figured that was cheaper than an OEM mirror upgrade.

I may change the mirror at some point as this was just to test it but it does work well.

Well I added reversing sensors today, but forgot to get a photo. But makes life a little easier and is nice to tie in with the reversing camera.

Will get a photo tomorrow

Also took this photo the other day as this is the great view I have every morning I go out

That is a fantastic picture, in my younger days I was a professional photographer and that picture is really very good.

Can you imagine any other car (apart from a supercar or genuine classic car often worth tens of thousands of pounds) that you would get pleasure from just looking at it like this. Especially one designed 16 years ago?

Thank you Steve, I just liked the way it was like light at the end of the tunnel.

Grabbed a quick pic of the reversing sensors while at the shops, you get the idea.

After having trouble with the coil pack wiring and leaving my wife stuck I fixed it all but never got round to looming it all back up properly.

Had a spare ten minutes today, so got it done and well pleased looks nice and factory

Here is a better shot of the reversing camera in action at night, makes life so much easier for tight spots.

I have been missing the centre rear headrest and its been bugging me, so managed to pick one up from good old eBay for £4 bargain

Right been collecting a few bits to sort a couple of annoying jobs.

Picked up a repair loom for the brake pad wear sensor and as some idiot cut the plug of the new pads I bought new pads.

I went for these Cosworth pads as they were a bargain and I love all things Cosworth.

Also picked up my new undertray and all new fixings as listed from Audi Bromley

I have been looking for a fitting guide on this and keep reading that there is an excellent guide by Sarge but I can't find it, any ideas?

Not updated this for a while.

Fitted the Cosworth pads.

Had the car a year now so needed an MOT, it needed a CV boot and anti roll bar link so nothing drastic or expensive and sorted the faint knocking I could hear which I thought was the bonnet.

Also managed to track down a couple of bits from good old eBay at great money a facelift grill and fog lights.

Already have the switch fitted from the auto lights just need to wire up when the weather clears up a bit.

Much happier with the front now.
