my personal Audio upgrade...

so the 7" screen is back where it should be. There's now a C-DSP from Minidsp waiting for installation along with the amp rack. Need to sort out a couple of problems first, though:
- the positive from the battery needs to be fused above the base of the rack and the rack needs to be removable. So need to find a secure place to put that 100A fuse.
- teh sub needs a grille, as do the midbasses in the doors. Got very far on teh midbasses yesterday, need to testfit. First I'll get the lighting set up again and then go with this. Shouldn't be too bad, but I now have around a week and a half before Track and I'd like it working before then.

Hi Bret,
Just a wild thought, on de top of the dash above the airvents there is not much room.simply flip it back.
. Also, there's a type of electric saw with a triangle shaped sawblade. You don't have to drill first and it can make quite nice straight sawing lines.

I am well into my project to utilise this space! A pop-up Sat-nav which is in an excellent viewing position. I'm improving on an earlier version and there are details of that on this site.

Under the passengers feet in the underfloor compartment is where i found the best place to take power from for amps and head units ect, as theres a main 8mm power line straight from the battery that can be used and plenty of room around the CCCU and ECU to mount a decent fuse holder i found

that's where a secondary fuse box is coming in; the main power line for the amp rack is a 33mm2 job I intend to fuse with 100A. I don't want to use the original as there's another issue: there's only the main fuse at teh rear (150A) securing that cable.

SDX10 now in its baffle, waiting to be plumbed and sealed in. Tomorrow the amp rack needs in, but now I can open the boot while the car is in the garage, that just got a lot easier.
