I've been charged worse, try being charged £20 postage for the folding floor, only for the guy to wrap it in polythene (yes the stuff like cheap carrier bags) and post it.
It cost.......... £6 to post.
I contacted Ebay, but they weren't interested, even though they have an excessive postage policy, and I enquired as to the point of it if they weren't prepared to uphold it.
It's not the first time I've had run ins with Ebay regarding excessive postage. Everytime I file a Paypal claim only to be told that the Buyer Policy doesn't cover excessive postage (even though it is listed in the tickey box things when you file your claim) and that it is for you to sort out directly with the seller.
I've reported them to Watchdog, and do everytime, (Hopefully enough other people are complaining and they'll take them to task over it eventually)
Just to clarify something, I was happy to pay the £20 postage in this instance, as that is what he had listed as the price to post. I assumed wrongly that it was the cost of business post or similar.. What really gets up my nose
is when they post it as cheap as possible to get the extra money on top of the Auction price
