Hi Steve, hope you used a brass wire brush? as steel brush can contaminate them and leave a reaction between the two metals. Did you re-lacquer them?

One of the great things about having an older car that's not on finance/lease and has no depreciation worth worrying about, is that you can do What you want to it.
I love my wife and kids more than I can ever describe and wanted them to be a part of this project. So I asked Sam if she would make me a headliner and involve the girls. She had free range and so this weekend made me the following using the girls hand prints as the flowers.
I have to say I was a little apprehensive when I first saw it but now that it's in the car I absolutely love it.

Yesterday I had a set of JOM blue line coilovers fitted along with Stance+ shortened drop links (droplinks thanks to @stevieA2 ).
I've got it wound down to the lowest setting and I'm very pleased with the way it looks.

Combined with the H&R front and rear anti roll bars it's very very stiff.
