I searched for threads on a "replacement key", but "key" is too short a word. So I tried to start a thread asking how I can search for posts on "replacement keys" and was asked to look at threads with the word "search" in them......
Hence the title of this thread.

Please can someone point me to threads about getting a "replacement key" and all the pros and cons of that?

Cheers.

Morning Alfie,

When searching for topics which have a title of 3 or less letters then conducting a google search with A2OC within the search criteria will provide much more results over the Forums search function.

There are plenty of threads about this though. I’ll add some links below to assist.

This thread explains the process of adding a new key to the vehicle:

From reading the above thread you’ll notice that there is a requirement to obtain your secret key code (SKC), there are a number of members who can do this for you. You’ll also need access to VCDS to code the new ID48 immobiliser transponder chip along with matching the new remote to the CCCU. 10 minutes work for anyone who has the specific equipment and skills to assist.

The below post shows where you can obtain a replacement key fob along with it arriving with a freshly cut key blade:

The below recent thread, whilst demonstrating how inaccurate my geography is, shows similar information along with who might be able to help out at Leighton Buzzard in the coming months:

Kind regards,

Tom

Thank you both for your help, it is appreciated. Although I thought I tried using quotes without success, maybe I did it wrong :-(.
