Ha ha. I've always regretted it when I've been away from them before, so I may have the odd moan, but I think I'm an addict too muchPhew - I thought we were gonna lose you then T!
Wife's TDI Sport is on original wheels with 205/45R17 Toyos. It rubs slightly on full lock and slightly on the rear though only when heavy(it's our tow car). Noticeably softer than 40 profile (IMO).Is anyone running 45 profile tyres on the sport wheels? I just wondered if they give a noticeable change in ride and if they rub.
Im assuming they will rub if the car was lowered?
Thanks for that. Ive searched for alternative wheels but realised I have a full set of albeit bent 17's. Id rather get them straightened and stick 45's on than run a set I didnt like the look of. Im looking at £150 for a (replacement 2nd hand) wheel and tyre , where I could put that to refurbing a damaged set. I blew a RS3 on Friday, just took a photo of the crater which amazingly has been hastily filled with tarmac...I'm on my second set of 205/45R17 Uniroyal RainSport 3s. A definite improvement in comfort, without sacrificing the Sport handling. No rubbing.
Hi all.
Would 7.5j x 16 et 35 wheels be ok on an a2? A bit concerned about width.
Thanks Steve
There's a photo in this thread.Could someone help me out with pictures of an A2 on 16" TT mk1 wheels? I'm deciding on tyre size and would be great to have see how they fill the arches.
I previously found on this forum pictures of both a black and a silver A2 on those wheels, but I can't for the life of me find these again..
It's these wheels:
Yes they fit (and look great IMO), pretty heavy though. They're readily available in the usual places, I had mine delivered from a Gumtree seller with premium tyres with 6ish mm tread for under £200 though prices vary a lot. Offset is ET31 IIRC which pushes them out a bit.Hi lookinb at a set of A1 sport wheels will these fit my A2 SE . May have already asked this before but can’t find a reply. Think they are the same wheels I have seen on a blue A2 on this page. Thanks John
Thank you. Do you have a picture of it side on? Our A2 is also Silver and want to see what they look like. The set I have my eye on are currently £120 but 2 of em will need a refurb at some point in the future, nothing major just some minor edge grindingYes they fit (and look great IMO), pretty heavy though.
