The quest for the highest mileage A2 and the 200K Club

Mine (Tdi) has done 187300 and although engine still feels strong and no smoke its due an mot in next few weeks so it will be interesting to see what pops up. So to speak.

194200 ATM. I don't know whether I'll see 200000 in or not, with the prospect of a new i3 beckoning later in the year. MOT in a week, hopefully no big bill..

I'm at 162000 doing 870 a week so I may be slowly rising up the list

Fitted some new ARB's and drop links today to remove a rattle over small bumps, all quiet again so an happy camper

Cheers

All pictures were taken by a passenger!

Not bad for a 1.4 16v which is doing 27600 miles per year commuting.

Kind regards,

Tom

My neighbours 2001 1.4Tdi has 250K on it (he does appear on here occasionally). Mine is a lowly 150K.

Hi folks, I got Andy's invite, but I've just started a new job, and I'm a bit preoccupied at the moment.

I bought my A2 in 2002, delivered fresh from the factory in November. Built to my spec, and painted Imola Yellow, as I had a work colleague with an S3, and really liked the colour. At the time, the only other yellow one in the country was owned by Audi, and had the Open Sky sunroof, so as far as I know, mine is the only completely yellow A2 in the country (famous last words!)

I don't have the book to hand, but I think I had the engine replaced about 7-8 years ago, at around 350,000 miles. I'm currently at just over 516,000, but the car's a bit like Trigger's broom now. Basically, everything between the front wheel hubs has been replaced at least once. The exhaust nearly made to the half million, though.

Hope this is of interest,

Tony

WOW on two counts first the mileage and second non storm yellow, do you have any better pics of it other than your avatar? cheers mike

Welcome aboard. Glad you got in touch especially so as your car is so rare. I think I'll have to think about the criteria as to.whether the car has to be on the original engine lol. Would be great to hear what you've had to do to keep it going to that mileage.

I'm still pushed for time to do this properly, but here's one from last year. Extra points if you recognise where it is.

When I can sit down and spend some time writing and finding the archived pictures, I'll do a full history in the introductions section.

Currently just about to get to 517,000, just had a new turbo, and rather like the Snickers advert it's "better".

First page updated accordingly.

Looking forward to the write up.

Ps is the photo taken in the main carpark at Tenby Beach?

Hi
New member but long term owner. 2003, 1.4 petrol SE. Just gone over the 215,000 mark. Didn't think it could go on for much longer but it looks like I was wrong.

Updated, thank you. Has anyone else noticed that there are no FSI's in the 200k club :-/
