Forgot to mention my good lady was with me.
When you left Ian It took 20mins to organise everything ?
Interesting smoke screen your Astra had....

(Well yesterday actually) I found a designated A2 parking space in ASDA

I don't follow ... ?

(Sorry probably me being slow, it was rather a good bash at other half's son's wedding yesterday!)

Your motor is definitely camera-friendly though Steve :)

Just that A2 owners tend to park miles away from anyone else in the carpark to avoid dings etc

I can confirm this to be true in my case also :)

I didn't think aluminium was magnetic but I always seem to find another car parked right next to me in a wide open car park! :p

Yes that happens all the time & my wife wonders why I cuss when mine attracts one either side

Oh of course, yes ... not been an issue so much for my A2. But my Volvo C70 has enormous doors - literally they're about 6 feet long - and it's still worth some reasonable money. No such thing as an empty car park round my way so I try to get on the end of a row and in the far side of the space, or next to a disabled space with room at the side. Then some plonker will still come and throw a giant 4x4 right on the line in the next space so I still can't open my door properly

Today i have removed HID from vonnies A2 in anticipation of the MOT tomorrow. Followed by removing a section of under tray to get the scissors out that i dropped ! We now have candles in all three A2's oh well. Then i have been putting a sealing polish on vonnies new wheels to make cleaning easier (not brand new but freshly refurbed. cheers mike

So today managed to put the car on axle stands at the front without issue (fell off last time). Doing some rust proofing & treatment. Removed undertray to allow access and took opportunity to replace the water pump for the washers. Got soaked obviously but now working much better...

Also took opportunity to clean the k&n panel air filter with the undertray off...or so I thought. Garage that charged me for install of filter I provided obviously didn't fancy taking the undertray off the car... and the filter itself as all I found was a skanky old 60k plus filter. Fraud and theft.... I'm still boiling mad

...hacked apart my old headlight switch and fitted an automatic light switch and sensor. Finished off with an alloy bezel round the new switch. Looks much better than my tatty old switch as a bonus.

CAn you tell me what you had to hack apart and do you have a photo of the finished product! I have the auto light installed and bought a silver bezel but have no idea how to go about fitting it!
Thanks
