Today I.....

Today, well yesterday actually, Jelly got a new set of Rotors n Tyres.

Coming along very nicely mate. Fitting that votex kit is going to transform the way it looks too. Maybe worth fitting the kit before deciding how low you are going to go because the sideskirts do lower the appearance a lot.

... and definitely sit lower than the standard too, so if you go too low you'll end up scraping the floor.

My Christmas prezzy

Well, my A2 1.4Tdi 90 going beautifully. now at 215,000 miles! Only purchased privately 2 months ago. It had the fullest service history I`ve ever seen on a used vehicle, but just fitted a new starter battery. Original was beginning to slow up in the colder weather. The performance is remarkable for a 90 bhp 1.4 diesel and just love the 3 cylinder growl! But being around 40% aluminium the lighter weight must have a lot to do with this. Have to declare an interest, as I was an Audi Sales Exec {as they liked to call them!) long retired, but sold many new Audi A2`s and just loved the concept! Shame Audi lost so much money on every A2 they sold as with updated cockpit tech would still look good today. It was always my ambition to own one, and still love the car and concept. Audi`s mandate at the time was to anhialate {typo) the then Mercedes A class which looked in its day, more like an Asian built vehicle. Nothing like the attention to quality that went with Audi, but sadly not to be. Anyway, so far delighted with my A2 and very happy there is such an enthusiastic owners forum.

Welcome aboard Jeff (from all the other Jeff's on the forum particularly :)) They are great little motors aren't they. You'll hopefully find the A2OC a mine of information and a source of great friendship and community feeling. I've been around here for just under two years now and couldn't wish for a nicer bunch of people...

One last thing, my usual saying for new members ... Photos or it didn't happen :)

Ssangyong Mercedes A class?

Different subject, but forgot to mention the previous owner of my A2 1.4Tdi 90, had professionally fitted an Audi A1 S. line Steering wheel obviously complete with airbag, but the steering wheel controls are for aesthetic purposes only! He was unhappy with the very shiny original steering wheel. If I knew how to upload a photo I`d be happy to show you guys how good it looks!IMG_3894 (1).JPGIMG_3891.JPG

Personally I think it looks too modern and not in keeping with the rest of the A2, but its a stunning wheel in isolation.
