Today I.....

Today I saw a Jaipur Red A2 almost hit the kerb while travelling on the A39 at about 10:30am this happened just past Marksbury and a little before the small stretch of dual carriageway, no reason for doing so and travelling at approx 40mph

Today I cleaned our B-class (apologies for swearing on this forum) but now I can see our little A2 from wherever I am.

Today I have named the colour storm

He is now called squeak , due the the annoying squeak from the off side front brake disc

Squeak , was today treated to his 1st bit of tender care in my ownership , and now has lost his squeak, which was due to a sticking brake Caliper, and built up of rust /crud etc n the rear of the pads

If the squeak had not been fixed , he would have been called , “ smashed too bits you annoying s**tbox “

Also noticed, the under -tray has been refitted by a monkey , job for next weekend ....
Also washed project egg , in the dark ...

Today was spent cleaning and checking over the Akoya tdi ready for its mot tomorrow night. Also fitted a nice set of audi car mats as the Akoya came with after market ones that both looked pants and had worn badly. Amazing how good the standard mats are both looks and wear rate. All bulbs were fine and just a week of one of the washer jets and its done.
Ill update on the results of the test tomorrow.

WELL drum roll please ..................................................................the Akoya tdi passed its mot. Whilst waiting i worked out that over the years in A2's i took my original castle red fsi from 20k miles to 185k miles my yellow colour storm from 89k to 117k miles and now the Akoya tdi from 64k to 79k miles and never have they failed an mot. Vonnie has taken her white tdi sport from 88k to 204k miles again never failed an mot. Such great cars.

Glad it all went well mike I’m looking forward to seeing the Akoya at kimbolton :);)

Nice to meet you this afternoon Andy, hope the scuttle will mend and be useable. I see what you mean now about the steel girders. That should be a great space once it's finished.

That is an existing baby steel that the engine hoist runs along, the big structural steels arrive later, maybe put up a picture then.

Today I / Lyra went for a timing belt and water pump change... Not sure how much of a shocker this is to some of you but my mechanic was fairly surprised and I was shocked when I heard it... Lyra had her ORGINIAL belt!!! 04 plate - 150k on the clock! I got given paperwork when I bought the car and it stated it had a belt changed 122,000 my mechanic said its definitely NOT been done. Anyway its done now no more driving in fear, next up LOWS!

Cheers Luke

Oh boy you have been lucky. If it belt was actually replaced, the previous owner would have kept the original invoice? I guess that's why service history back-up by bills and invoices has a value...
