Today, I spent some time fettling the interior.

At long, long, last I added the foot rest plate.

Then onto minor cosmetics - spot the difference…

And finally, admire the cockpit of this 90s inspired/designed car - still stunning 20 years on.

What a lovely fresh looking interior Darren. Looks like new. Lots of lovely extras as well. The A2 is a credit to your work. Hope the Fsi gremlins don't spoil the party ;)

Oh, I wish I had the beige interior

I think they really suit the A2 very well. If you’ve an ultra-rare (UK anyway) 1.2 - why not advertise it. 😊 This is coming from someone who loves alloys and larger sizes. Biggest compliment I can give. 😊

Decided to add the 1.2 wheel trims that have been gathering dust for months. I really wasn’t sure If I’d like them but actually I’m now of a view they complete the car.

I’ve a new set and some other nice cosmetic external bits which @Rickmeister kindly ‘imported’ for me from AT but I’ll stick with the ones that came with the car for the time being.

Today I, for the very 1st time in my life, have managed to change the brake and clutch fluid, and as an extra, with the car still being on the ground! I know many does this with ease, but I've always been stressed I might run the master cylinder dry, or strip one of the nipples, so I used to let the garage sort it out.

Not anymore! I didn't chicken out, not even when the front N/S nut began stripping off, fortunately my toolbox had the right over-socket and eventually it came loose. Then right away I'd moved to get the clutch done as well, surprisingly that nipple took a 2x full turns to the get some fluid out, but I'm glad it's all done now, took bit more time and fiddling around than I thought, but the weather was nice and I had enough time on my hand to double check as well.
I'm just searching for leaks now, hopefully that's gonna be good too.

Big thanks again for the instructions and infos guys, especially to @audifan.
Next week is oil change, gonna try 5w40 as others said it can reduce piston-slap, which would be useful when I drive to work at 5am.
