Today I.....

Changed the gearstick for an Audi TT one. Would be nice to have a 6 speed BBY.

The full assembly cost £15 delivered. A bargain.

Today I saw bees mistaking A2 for a flower.

Throttle body clean, new spark plugs, fresh oil (ester-based 5w-40) and filters, and some interior love with a plastic reviver.

To all you super cleaners and part time detailers.
What is the best way to remove the build up of green moss & licin that gets into window rubbers and those tiny areas?
I don't want to use a power wash if possible and nothing that might damage or scratch the paintwork.
The long wet winter hasn't helped on both cars.

Fairy Liquid and an old firm toothbrush (or your wife's if you don't like her 😂) and rinse it well with a hose pipe as you go, then wash the car properly with a good car shampoo with wax in it. I would toothbrush clean it again with this too. You could use tweezers or similar to pick out the moss from the bonnet drain first 👍

Spent the day today getting some of the jobs done on my car for the new owner. This last month of A2 ownership is gonna fly by. New eibach springs, rear axle painted.
I should have bought these springs years ago. Very good ride quality. Got to fit the front springs along with new brembo front discs and pads, when the correct top mounts arrive.
Glad i asked buyer to wait a month.

I have an autoglym product for rubber cleaning I believe, but either way use plenty of water and your chosen shampoo / detergent agitated with a detailing brush - or an old nail brush would work just as well, maybe better as it’ll be stiffer.

Didn’t think that would happen Steve!

Well mixture of bio washing powder & hot water with a toothbrush followed by rinsing with clean water and as a first try I'd say at least 80-90% has come off. 😁👍
