Today I.....

...Finally fitted the set of mud flaps I've been storing for some time. Whilst the wheels were off I also fitted new discs and pads on the front. As I still had a little time before daylight disappeared I also fitted the later style plenum cover with washer jets that actually hit the screen.

Followed the instructions I found on here to get the remote on my spare key working again - I found an old post that said they forget if not used for a while so to open the door manually and then start the ignition with it. Lo and behold, i now have two perfectly working keys This is such a fabulous forum

... solved one problem on the Grey2 only to discover two more

Headlight bulb replaced (with much praising of chb's refitting when he changed the headlight last time)

Crack on windscreen is 15 cm at the edge of the driver's view so sure to be an MOT failure?

then noticed... the flat tyre which now appears to be a slow puncture... on a winter tyre :(

Removed the fuel injectors on the FSI and ordered new ones. I will also replace the fuel pressure sensor that is hidden below the intake manifold. Hopefully this is the first and last time I need to remove the intake manifold.

Finally got round to sorting the ill fitting osr mudflap which was missing the bottom clip so didn't seat onto the bumper correctly. Well when I say I sorted it the truth is more like I watched as Special Edition Dave did the job. Much appreciated as always Dave - you're a gent :)

Looks VERY interesting, I can't wait to see more and hear all about it.

Cheers

Just ordered a set of 4 new centre caps to fit 5 and 6 spoke SE alloys.
Just another item that is very low in stock, only 25 left now.
Could be another case of " when they are gone, they are definitely gone"

Yes,

I believe I may no the reason to the low stock levels on this item after my recent purchase. Car came with just a few spares.

I fell sad.
Just found out that the guy I bought the A2 from can not provide all papers because he has debt for tickets received and the government won`t allow him to sell it.
Now I either have to get the money back from him or to sell it to someone who is OK to own it based on the situation.

Today I met putyermittenson in Sheffield and bought his CD changer and boot panel in readiness of doing the changer conversion to my A2.

Top bloke - pleasure to meet you!

Jeff :)
