Seven of us are the group custodians of it and we had just renamed it and had it repainted

6 cylinder Diesel electric , that red one was a f*****g nightmare , it had no heater and a water leak which meant I was filling it up all day , oh and s manual fuel pump to add to the mix , oh and had to me manually primed on the oil pump
Very interesting day with a top speed of 15mph lol

Fitted new wheels to the Baby Boom Box (pics to follow, once I've cleaned it), then met up with fellow member and bought A2 #3 to add to the fleet ... This one looks like a keeper for the good lady (1.4 petrol - top spec :) ) So, need to pare down the fleet. GG might be leaving soon...

Yesterday I spotted this beautiful yellow Colour Storm - first time I see a yellow Storm in Norway :)

Two days ago received a wave from a lovely brunette on the A41 passing Berkhamsted towards the M25. 54 plate TDi, black just like mine.

I've said this before, but owning an A2 reminds me a lot of the camaraderie that us classic minis (in my opinion the BMW version is not a mini ;)) used to have. Whilst in the Cooper I always got a friendly toot, flash of the headlights and people happy to stop and chat. I still remember buying it from John Cooper's garage and him coming out and saying 'take care of that car now'. The pride in keeping the cars ageing well and in good motoring condition is something I see regularly on this forum. Though I have to say, it is definitely a lot easier not having to deal with rust each year!

Theres at least 3 in Essex haha

Not seen many yellow ones on my daily travels around North and Mid Essex as yet. Only seen one in North Wales. Ownership of the sunny yellow ones must be down on the Essex Coast.

I think Essex must be a hotbed for A2 ownership as I see several different cars most days on my commute from dark reds, mauritius blues to crimson reds..all looking in great condition.

As everyone knows, Essex is the UK's centre of good taste and culture.
