@gills .... you know I get confused every time I try to drive a car in the UK... but with reference to the pic of the front of your VBL (very beautiful lady) did you meet a JCB speed tractor with snow plow a mile down the road, on the wrong side of the road.... or are tires mounted the wrong way ????

Very nice, I know you’ll enjoy this set up Steve. I certainly did coming from the Xcarlink as my hands free option.Fitted my genuine audi bluetooth unit to pair up with my mk1 rnse. It's a perfect fit under passenger side floorwell.
Hi Tom.Very nice, I know you’ll enjoy this set up Steve. I certainly did coming from the Xcarlink as my hands free option.
I must ask though, what is the additional red and black leads for in the bottom left of the first picture. I’m sure it’s a simple answer but don’t think I’ve noticed such a set up before.
Kind regards,
Tom
Thanks Steve,Hi Tom.
It's a mains 12v connection from battery. In my ownership it's always been like that. As a precaution when i removed/reinstalled my ecu i disconnected the battery!
Morning Steve,Ok and a flat battery again after replacing it on Weds, jump start required this morning, something must be draining it!
I’ve seen comments here relating to the cccu being at fault, this could be the problem as both keys have also lost sync.
Anyone know of this might be the case and if so easy to swap, do they need coding or anything else in particular?

Morning Steve,
Like most things, this is an easy task to swap if you know what you're doing. Can I suggest trying to get someone to scan your car and probably get some assistance from Tom @timmus, he can supply a replacement CCCU over the mail system. He will probably want to see the scan results and know which CCCU you currently have fitted.
Hope you get this sorted soonest as its these things that can ruin the pleasure of using our aluminium friends, only until there fault has been rectified of course.
Kind regards,
Tom
