Huge apologies to all!
It should be already solved. It is purring like a cat now.

Well done that sounds tricky!!!Fitted a Full DIS instrument cluster. All wired up and coded in with correct mileage.
Very pleased
If the squeal does return, check the Alternator pulley! When the clutch mechanism starts to fail it will squeal under load resulting in undercharging of your battery, ultimate failure can be shearing off of the alternator pulley, not nice. Not exactly today, but after searching few threads I suspected that the occasional squealing that Gracie had been making when starting from cold was the alternator belt and so I wondered whether the tensioner was failing. Took her into Gary (B&F Autos) to have it looked at a couple of weeks ago, along with slightly premature service and MOT. It didn’t perform to order (the noise had only been intermittent), however as precaution he changed the alternator belt, even though it was only 18 months / 10,000 miles old. Since then it hasn’t recurred so it looks as if it’s done the trick. And she’s got a fresh MOT with no advisories . We’re going to take her up to the Festival Of The Unexceptional on 30th July (not to show, it just looked like a good day out) so wanted her to be in good fettle for that… anyone else going?
Yes that’s exactly what I was worried about from reading other posts and why I booked her in a month ahead of when I had planned to. Gary said there was no obvious sign of an issue but that it would be the next thing to change if it did return. As other members will attest, he generally knows his A2s and doesn’t go charging for unnecessary work,If the squeal does return, check the Alternator pulley! Cool car, but a sad indication of the ridiculous situation.Well who would have thought that our Vellfire 3.5L Automatic is cheaper to run than Jelly(Tdi) or Smurf(FSI). We get about 20mpg on LPG @ £0.629/L, so 1/3 the price of Diesel or Super Unleaded. Neither A2 averages 60mpg, or is as comfy and quiet

Bear in mind emissions are far lower than my A2's, its a win win?Cool car, but a sad indication of the ridiculous situation.
I have a ticket if I get time to go I will be there, probably in an A2 as the pork is in bits at the moment, - I decided to dive into a full engine rebuild. "Renewable diesel is vegetable oil refining fuel production process, it's is a cleaner, higher quality product that stands cold and storage much better than traditional biodiesel, the benefits that renewable diesel offers to the vehicle, the motorist, and ultimately the climate are the greatest when 100% renewable diesel is used."Filled up a couple of days ago at the newly refurbished petrol station just off the A1(M) on the way into Catterick Garrison, it's JET I think. Diesel was 186.9p per litre, not bad. Worth the 2 mile detour if anyone is driving up the A1(M).
Also they had 'renewable' diesel, whatever that is, at 223.9p per litre. I wasn't tempted.
