Wheels being refurbished

I can tell most people aren't too keen on the colour judging by the diplomatic silence :) But I just wanted to show off the quality of the finish. This is my spare, back and front.

This is the 'before' (there were 2 badly corroded like this, and 3 which were just kerbed rather than corroded).

(OK, I know this chrome looks bronze also, but that's due to the sunset behind me when I was taking the photo).

The colour was a spur of the moment thing, I was going to do them silver but Kevin mentioned that they could do them any colour. I have to say that I do like the end result. In the extremely unlikely event that I sell the car, I'd sell it with the original 16" SE wheels + spacesaver rather than the 15"s (just too complicated trying to explain to a buyer why it's got the wrong wheels). But I am planning to keep this A2 forever so that's more of a side note.

Hi mike I like them, I was not keen from your description but in the pics they look really good. Sometimes it's nice to be different. See you soon mike

I like them, Mike. They're definitely made for your blue A2. As others have said, it gives the car a bit of the Subaru look.
I'm also planning on having my brakes tidied up at some point down the line.

Cheers,

Tom

I had a tyre changed at the same time (cut & lump on the sidewall, naturally on the tyre which had the most tread remaining of course), the new one went on the front right. I did notice that it was pulling very slightly left (i.e., holding the steering wheel at 3 degrees or so) - I think due to the larger circumference of the unworn tyre. So I've swapped the wheels around & put the new tyre on the back instead.
