Windscreen washers - low pressure

Hi all,

My second fault is my windscreen washers are only sending water 6 inches up the windscreen...

Is it time to replace the pump or?

Hi Mark, firstly check the jet nozzles to see that they are clear. a GENTLE prod with some soft copper wire might help, but don't lose any wire inside the jets.

If they are clear then the washer motor is likely to be the cause. Or there is an outside chance that it might be a bent/crushed plastic washer tube?

Always eliminate the "no cost" options for faults first, even if you don't think they are the cause.
