A2 Cars Feedback

Fantastic Service!

I took my A2 for a service and mot yesterday to A2 cars due to hearing great things on this forum. i used to use a 'specialist' local to me but in the end i wouldn't trust them as far as i could throw them. I also have an Audi service centre literally behind my garden fence. But i wanted my beloved car to be cared for properly.
The service I got I have never received before from a garage. After a good chat and a tour of the stockroom and garage Tony dropped me off into the city centre. The car passed its mot, the service was done plus a couple of other bits and Tonys wife picked me up to take me back to A2 cars.
Tony showed me around my car to show me what he had done and also a couple of issues that will need to be looked at in the future. Why more garages can't do this I don't know.
Im now getting some money together to get the other bits sorted and maybe upgrade the suspension amongst a few other things! I'm actually looking forward to taking my car back, I never thought I'd ever say that!

Thanks Tony, the car now runs great and I've also found my other car key so will bring both up next time!

A2Cars Milton Keynes Another Happy Visit

Hello, just pick up my A2 'Frankenstein' 2day after Timing Belt, Pump, Gearbox Oil Change and work on leaking exhaust. Car as expected running like a younger monster he he. Engine runs tip-top gears change is smooth and precise and exhaust sound just sweet. Also was really smiling driving Tony's Train for second time for a day (courtesy car) passing is just pure joy. Looking forwards for any future visits.

Recommended for any A2 enthusiast for any work or advice !!! ;););)

It's great to read about all the positive feedback for A2cars in its first year. Tony must be kept incredibly busy as he rarely posts on the forum. But of a shame. I'm sure the club would be very interested in knowing what's going on at the workshops and the odd handy hint from one of our gurus. Maybe when he catches a breath we can think about an 'Ask Tony' blog.

we need an a2cars up here in the north tony :) if you are starting a franchise maybe we could chip in some money ;)

seriously though...how handy would this be for us northerners?

Tony could be our agony aunt :)

I suspect I saw Frankenstein today on the ramps when I was in there.

Good to see you again Tony. I did end up with silver, 3 cars after the one I left you to view!

I'm up at A2 Cars again next week for some more TLC to be lavished on my little Alu pal. I'll try and take some snaps while it's up there with its guts hanging out!

I'm popping in there tomorrow for a quick visit.

Wouldn't it be great to have a get together in our cars, at Tony's place?

A bit like a cruise, but just a good reason to meet up and see other A2s and Tony's facilities?

One Saturday night or Sunday during the day perhaps??

Just a thought?

Well he's got at least 10 A2s at his garage most of the time anyway - would be quite a sight!

Some pictures of the underbelly would be much appreciated, I had the fuel filter heat shield replaced when i visited but Tony mentioned the other side (o/s rear) was missing, not many pictures available to compare on the inter-web searches.

Mine is the same. I have some heat shield missing to.

It's very common on A2 for the heat shielding to come astray. The fixings corrode. You will see on newer vag group cars that these components are plastic however it's a definite weakness on our cars.

Considering my car has spent it's life in Yorkshire and Scotland I'm happy that most of mine are ok. Not sure if that's because i wash the underbody infrequently or it was maybe treated at sometime prior to my ownership from 4 years old.

Tony has a fix for this and I'm sure he may share this information or maybe search engine Spike may find the thread!!

I've a few to get sorted out but that'll get done in time.

edit: I realise I've probably encouraged the spamming of Tonys feedback thread but I think the discussion is relevant. Quite like the idea of a social in MK sometime. Whether Tony would have the time to host an influx of A2 geeks who aren't paying customers is another question but it sounds like an 'open day' concept to me.
