Another one bites the dust...

Glad your not injured however you may feel sore over the next few days if you do get checked out, on the plus side, you can start looking for another nice A2, Pine Green is really rare, I have only ever seen one and that was in Wales. Good Luck, keep safe.

Really sorry to see you and some of your family were injured, hopefully you'll all be fighting fit again soon, the A2 can be replaced but we can't, hope you find a replacement very soon.
Cheers Jeff

I think you may have got me confused with member budword who was also in an accident and whose children were hurt.
I escaped without a scratch, thanks to the strength of our little ally friends, and I'm sure that's why budword's incident came out with such a positive result.

Ian is recovering from a cold, not RTA injuries ;)

Ahh sorry, apologies mate

Gutted for you. I share your loss. So glad I was in the A2 in our head on. Can't wait to get back into another. Happy hunting.
Dave...

So glad I wasn't in the old Fiat Seicento I used to have! Hope your children are on the mend and there are no lasting effects of their injuries.
I've got a couple of replacements in my sights at the moment, so fingers crossed I'll be back in an A2 soon. These little cars really are tough.

Just found out my beloved little green A2 is being removed tomorrow on behalf of the insurers by a vehicle recycling company, with no option to buy it back :(
They say as the space frame is damaged, it must go to a licensed recycler to be destroyed.

RIP X951 BBW

Can you nick the useful bits before it goes like the false floor etc etc ?

I would
If the insurance co. has seen it
The recycling co. do not know what they are getting anyway, will make money out of it anyway and it would be certain that the parts would be reused and not destroyed.

Well, I've swapped the wiper arm back to the old one and for some strange reason there doesn't appear to be a mint condition hard touch climate panel there anymore.
It's got the cassette player back in, and my connects 2 that's been mated up with a bluetooth adaptor for my phone (all behind the dash, looks completely stock) has been removed, as have all my interior lamps which are LED.

If only I was closer I could have stripped everything of any value in less than an hour for you :)

Have you taken the headlight switch? Worth taking and i'm sure it won't be missed. Also the splittable headlights would be snapped up....you could say they fell out on impact.

Booked a viewing for tomorrow night with a very friendly lady who is selling an Island Green 1.4 petrol SE, 2003 model.
I've asked if she's OK with me plugging VCDS in to the car, once I explained what it was she said it's no problem, it's fault free and she's nothing to hide.
Fingers crossed....sounds like a good one, even the mot history has nothing major, and she's the second owner and has all the bills for everything...

Headlights had been replaced, they weren't splittable unfortunately.
Headlight switch in the one I've arranged to view tomorrow is mint and I don't want to push my luck too much!
