Another one bites the dust...

I wonder if Ian's A2 was classified as Category B. This would explain the no buy back option from Ian's insurers as the law states the body must be crushed by a licensed recycler, possibly with some parts up for reuse. Makes sense to keep it licensed to try and maintain the integrity of the system, i.e. In theory to stop rogues repairing inherently dangerous vehicles and putting them back on the road.

Only just caught up with this thread - so sorry to hear of your misfortune Ian - having only met you recently in your little A2 (which was sounding quite throaty at the time!!), it's good to hear that you're ok, but such a shame that the green meanie is gone.

Equally good to hear is that you're back in the saddle as it were. Hope you have many more years and miles together.
