Headlight Switch

When you try it out next, stay in the car, switch of the ignition and open and the close the door and then use the fob to lock it. Then listen for a click from the controller about 10 to 20 seconds later.

That would indicate that it is all working as planned but the connection to the headlamps is the problem. It is somehow not wired into the correct circuit. It sounds like it is trying to operate the fog lights, are they both working normally, when you try them? (Front fogs)?

I did exactly that before, but I could not hear any click. Will try again though.

I got the below instruction from the ebay seller. I have not sen this instruction before, so if I do A-0-A-0-A and then 0 right away CH/LH is off, or if I dont do the last 0 at all perhaps I have set the CH/LH timer for like 10 mins. Will try and revert.

(D)coming home and leaving home
Close the ignition and complete following:
AUTO--0—AUTO—0—AUTO, you will hear a sound like "Di" , width light begins to flash, close the switch to 0 after 5 more second, that is the time set for coming home and leaving home. If switch turned within 5 second, coming home and leaving home closed.

Sounds like that really could be the cause, fingers crossed that it all works out.

Remember that you don't have to wait until it is dark to try it, you can cover the sensor, but it must be fully covered to stop all light.

Good luck

Didn't work. But I have found some schematics for the wiring now, and my rear lights seem to be bridged to the TFL also. Will figure out a work-around, if that is the reason for the CH/LH not working.

By the way, forgot to mention. There was no customs for me when buying from the eBay seller mentioned previously in this thread, he did write the order value though. Swedish customs were probably playing wordfeud or something :)

Got it to work!

To de-scandinavian the lights I un-bridged 56, 58L and 58R from the TFL. I also came to understand that the kit can turn off the CH LH function. To disable have key in ignition but on 0. Start with AUTO and go 0 - AUTO - 0 - AUTO really fast and there will be a constant beep from the kit. If you turn back to 0 within 5 seconds CH LH will be off, anything longer than that will be the timing of the CH LH function.

So...the kit works in Scandi and would have been simple to install had I known this from the start :)

Hi Daniel

I am very pleased to hear that you have sorted it.

Your investigations will be very helpful to others.

i suppose that if soneone wants "Scandi lights" on their A2 they may be able to just do the opposite "jumping" to what you have just done (if you see what i mean.)

Well done and thanks for keeping us informed.
